I just want the bells out. We need to grow as a club and they're stopping us. Some things are just as simple as that

Green and his puppet Earl are taking the piss. Kenwright stands by and does what they say. Whether that's another hare-brained stadium scheme or simply sitting and doing nothing for another few years, that's all down to G&E calling the shots. It's the reason I detest Kenwright now. He's a selfish and weak man who's placed Everton in the slow lane for a decade just so he could retain some power at the club. Johnson, Gregg, anyone but him would have been a vast improvement.

The BU need to concentrate all their effort on exposing Green and placing pressure (as Leeds fans did) on getting the men in their shadowy trust exposed.

Were an asset in their portfolio for making profit on. Nothing more. We've been looking down the back of the couch for loose change trying to buy Pienaar while they're not prepared to put one penny in to try and grow their investment.

I have said before in several threads that i believe (no proof) that the stumbling block ot a takeover is Green NOT Kenwright. As dave states Green is quite content to sit back and watch the decline of the club as his investment is ringfenced. all he is concerned with is making a large enough profit. one thing i do know from people that have dealt with Green is that he is a complete bas**rd whenit comes to business.

Unlike many I don't think Kenwright is the anti-Christ although I have real doubts as to whether he's 'up to it' , however as I've said before the possible involvement with green worries me and what influence he has. I do know green is 'supposed' to have strong connections with Pini Zahavi who did the transfer of billy when we paid at the very top end of the deal. I think it's all speculation but the price always seems an issue and like you I have my theories who seems so set on it.

I know "it's the net" and stuff, but there is just too many stories concerning Green's influence on the club for it to be untrue. The likes of Wyness looked like he was about to expose it and they ran him down in the Med to shut him the **** up. And he's never made a secret of the fact he's embroiled in Everton's affairs.

Turn the heat up on Green and see how comfortable he feels with his connections then. I really doubt he'd welcome the publicity on top of his tax dodging scams.

Well all I'll say is that it isn't just discussed on the net , people in the business of football talk about it and it certainly seems to have a lot more legs than a spurious rumour.

He's the problem Green, but, ironically, he could be the solution too. Imagine a concerted campaign agianst him in the press the way the BU/Evertonians for Change did with Kenwright last year. Bad publicity is the achilles heel of someone like him.

I can give credence to the rumours, well shouldnt really say that i suppose. i have family that work in the real estate businees in london, through them they have contact with some very rich people including Green and i have been told by some of these people that green is the man behind the curtain at everton and he doesnt give a s**t about the club. he is more concerned by the prestige of owning a football club. sadly he doesnt give a s**t about the club. which is why i dont believe until it becomes a burden to him personally that he will ever sell (unless an overpriced offer comes in)

Bad publicity against him i dont think would bother him in the slightest - unless it started to affect his profit margins from his other enteprises (Topshop etc)

He can sit it out for many years and it wouldn't bother him. He's got a few millions tied up with Everton and he woldn't notice it. It's all about control and ego. Having someone like good ole Bill in his pocket is more important. People like Kenwright are social captal...him and others provide the coterie of friends somene like Green rely on to keep their toe hold in polite society. They are the social glue he requires to keep a semi-positive image ticking over.

I dont know. The Sports Minister was called in to open up an offshore account to reveal who ran Leeds. Can you imagine the media blitz on a story about a tax-dodger being implicated in controlling the fortunes of a PL club who've always missed out on takeovers?

that would be fantastically interesting. i just think that Green is just TOO well connected and business savvy to be caught out like that, he hasnt got where he is by leaving audit receipts in the top drawer so to speak. Fantastic if he has. the only way i can see the empire falling is if Kenwright grows some and says "enough is enough i'm off" then Green HAS to come into the light and sort it out. Cant ever see Kenwright doing it though as Green has himin his pocket

Fair points. He has a lot of clout, no question. My belief though is that he clings onto his interest at Everton because he's not inconvenienced by it, as his interest is not the subject of intense, nationwide speculation. It's just money that is as safe as houses which he'll get a good return on (this year or ten years time, he doesn't care as long as he or his family get that return).

He's obviously got his claws into Kenwright very deeply (for reasons alluded to by others on here who've been shouted down or their threads pulled because of the exact nature as to why Kenwright is beholden to Green). Kenwright, though, would hate a big spotlight getting shone onto Green precisely becuase of that.

That's the roadblock. That relationship. We all know it.

The sale of the club is being handled by Earl and Green.

The reason the price is so high is that EPL football is a booming business with untold future prospects. It also offers massive exposure for an individual or business on a worldwide level that can help to grow other interests.

It's also easy for an owner/investor to make a lot of money in a legal way, using schemes like the Vibrac bridging loan, which is good for £1.7m a year, without actually looking like your are taking anything out I.e. dividends.
