It's all ok, it's in the Echo tonight - Mandelson reckons we could get a scaled down version, so just like Kenilworth Road then.

It's amazing, when it looked like we were going to move to Kirkby we encountered all sorts of experts on stadia construction, football club budgets, transport experts and even wildlife protectors.

Now they got their wish, between all that massive brain power, not one of them has a plan b which our club languish.

Then we reveal that we lost money and they fume.

Just not getting it here.

The floor's yours, electronic entrepreneurs.

Not too sure what your point is, chico. The Board made a poor decision & wasted a lot of time & money. Unsurprisingly, this was pointed out along the way. Now it's over & they've got to start again, but we'll never get that time & money back.
I fail to se how anybody could be happy that the club made a loss, but I'm not fuming - I just hope the current Board can adequately address the issues facing the club, or else change the membership of the Board to bring in some fresh ideas, etc. The problems won't be resolved here as, inevitably, there is an information gap between what we all perceive & what the Board actually know - hence the disparity in views over so many issues.

You know exactly my point.

Don't see why all are so happy at the move falling through, its now even more apparent how much in the [Poor language removed] we are.

This is the opportunity for those in the know to advise what now. You clearly seem to be passing up that opportunity then?

Apparent? Were you surprised by the announcement? In all honesty I never really batted an eye lid. I know the score, and have known the score for the past 20 years.

I'm relieved that DK isn't proceeding but there's nothing really to celebrate. The Board have wasted a lot of time & money unnecessarily. If our friends at KEIOC could, as amateurs, pick up on the significance of the planning issues quite early on it's disappointing that the Board didn't do so, or didn't hire an expert to advise them of the risks. Had they done so one would hope the scheme wouldn't have proceeded & those such as yourself who had faith in the Board to deliver what they offered would not have been given the false hope you seem so desperate not to relinquish.

You, & some of the other supporters of the proposal, seem quite bitter towards those who opposed it & yet it would be more understandable if those who voted in favour were criticised for supporting a scheme which has wasted so much time & money. However, I believe that those who voted in favour did so in what they believed at the time were the best interests of the club & that they, quite reasonably, felt they could trust the Board & believe what they were told at the time of the vote.

I don't really see how it wouldn't have been apparent for quite some time how much in the [Poor language removed] we are.

You're quite right, this is "the opportunity for those in the know to advise what now" - but do you think those people are here on this forum, or sat next to you at the match? I've never claimed to be "in the know", merely a supporter who concluded from the information available that DK wasn't in the best interests of Everton FC - so I'm not sure what opportunity you think I'm being presented with - like any other supporter I have opinions & preferences, but I'm open to any idea that will benefit the club. However, my opinion either way will have little or no bearing on whether any particular idea comes to fruition. The people in the know are those in the Boardroom & I'm as keen as you to know what they propose to do next.

I'm not sure what it is you're planning to remind me of - is DK now to supercede Heysel as the cause of all the club's woes?

So, still no alternative then. The alternative is to watch us not have money and slip down the league? You happy with that?

And trust us, if were bitter its because our football club can't sustain it's recent progress and we're annoyed that self righteous, belter fans shout loudly and people listen. And alluding with KEIOC really doesn't do your credibility any benefit.

You fail to see the bigger picture and focus on petty politics but that's cool if that's your thing.

My original post stands, step up and tell us what now lids.

Those blocking the stadium as you put it, didnt have any real say in the final decision. We still wouldnt have had any funds in the 2-3 years whilst the "World Class Virtually Free piece of utter crap" was being built. We have had no funds in the 2-3 years whilst we waited and wasted money on the aforementioned stadia.

What now? I dont know, if you want to make me Chairman, well then I will have the ability to make that decision.

I didnt duck out, I just pointed out that the Kirkby decision has no impact on our immediate cash flow problems. Infact, in the short term at least, it can only help.
