How many of the thousands of kids protesting will be walking or cycling to school next week instead of getting a lift in mummy’s 4x4. Hypocrites!

How do you know all of the kids who protested get lifts to school?

Sure there will be a percentage who will protest because its a trending topic and it will be cool to take part but labeling them all the same is ignorant.

Why not examine how large the polar ice caps were 12 years ago and compare them to their size today. What is causing them to melt? They are being measured objectively by Scientists? Are they wrong?

Pete's extensive experience in life tells him they are. So we should just wait and do nothing. Because he has lived blah blah blah.....

Climb down off your high horse pal. I asked how many of them will be walking or cycling to school. I didn’t accuse all of them of driving in 4x4’s.

How have they changed over the last 2000 years, how have they changed over the last 2 million years. We have the smallest of snapshots and are panicking......

How many large mammal species have gone extinct in the last 2 million years due to climate change, man made or not?

Wan’t to take the risk?

Very little according to the same scientists. I used a 12 year period simply because you did. The rate of change has increased significantly over the last 30 years or so, principally due to the increase in global population and the increase in the use of fossil fuels, which we use at a significantly higher rate than 2000 years ago.
I accept your argument of statistical anomaly over a comparatively short period, but that only holds up if global conditions have stayed the same. I suggest that the significant industrialisation of the 20th century and now the developing nations is having an effect.

Your right, the earth goes through climate change on a comparatively regular basis and in time it will balance out and recover.

Human life will be decimated in 50-100 years but the planet will eventually recover once we're gone.

So should we prepare for what will come or pretend that we will change it.......
