The aim is for Britain to be carbon neutral by 2050, isn't it? The protesters are utterly deluded if they think something like that can happen in 5 years. Britain should be praised for leading the way by setting a realistic target, not attacked.

I commuted on the tube for ten years, I can totally understand their frustration but, there was like a mob psycology thing going on there, baying for blood and acting hard in a crowd. Totally over the top reaction.

It's because we're a soft country. Try half of the crap they've been pulling in places like China, India or even the US and they'll be getting a hiding!
It genuinely makes me question the motives of some, especially when there's footage of them off their faces and essentially having a big party.

You need a reality check, mate. Do you think everything can be shut down and replaced within 5 years? Things need to be phased out within a realistic and achievable timescale because we have this thing called an economy.

Shall the government start sending letters to people telling them they have 2 years to get rid of their cars and replace them with electric ones? How do you think that will go down? Also, how do you get about? Do you have an eco scooter made out of reclaimed wood?

I've got this thing called a mortgage, I pay it on my own so I have to go out and do this thing called work. I'm not as fortunate as the protesters.
