Britain could take itself back to the stone age and not one iota of difference would it make.

However, we should be encouraging these people to protest in China and Russia...

It called lead by example.

If all western countries where to listen to their protestors and people in general and made change maybe just maybe the people in those countries who are the worst will get hope that they can pressure and do the same.

If british, Americans, French and well Europeans sit and do nothing and say nothing what would they expect the Chinese people to do? They wont instigate it if nowhere else has.

It tougher for one government if they are pressured by many because they were forced to take action because of the will of the people

But sure take that stupid do nothing attitude that's the spirit.

I think what's worth saying is that it looked like lots of people were jumping in trying to stop violence too, so not as clear cut that everyone is laying into them. I understand people's frustration but kicking people when they are on the floor is a bit of a sh1thouse move.

As for the protestors, it's a really really odd move. I struggle to see any logic behind it.
