Most people have noticed that climate changes happening pal. It’s been in the media for about 10 years. Doing stuff ripped straight from the pages of the Beano doesn’t exactly do a lot. Paying for things like the fire engine to douse the treasury could have actually been spent on, for example, helping low income families trade in energy inefficient goods for more energy efficient ones. Rather than glue themselves to a train go to schools and give talks.

Oh, you think global corporations that are killing the planet are going to give two hoots what people think. How quaint.

And yes, it will. Maybe not next week, but slowly if you keep working on attitudes things will change. There isn't a silver bullet in terms of changing societies attitudes.

I ain’t glueing myself to anything mate but I assure you, big business don’t want their names being dragged through the mud. XR have raised the issue and even the Neanderthals amongst us are talking about it. They have achieved a lot of what they set out to do and said they will now get together and decide what is next.
They also admitted they had made some big errors along the way.
Good for them for having a go.

Protest is good, and some level of disruption is necessary for it to be effective. I feel they were making their point before things went stupid in the last few days, but that's protests for you I guess
