I had the misfortune of watching a Newsnight piece last night and an interview involving Bob Seeley Tory MP and a former head of MI6. The most repugnant bit of Cold War BS I've heard since the fall of the Soviet Union.

They really are determined to keep having their strings pulled by Washington.

It has, CCP warned the UK, thought it was clear when I used home land, what CCP said was for domestic purposes only, they don't care 3 million people from Hong Kong could leave, 20 years ago they may have had a problem with it.

Its not weird its fact there was significant shift in closer relations with the CCP and much surprise was voiced in concern by many other countries in the closer UK- Sino relations. It had been building at great pace since Cameron took office 2010 and continued until this time last year... Undeniable truth.
 
If anyone is interested in the geo-political Situation of China internationally I find this informative. It’s a bit “anti-China propaganda-ish” but it does give a good scope as to what’s going on. The Indian perspective.

Think it was Napoleon that coined the phrase, Britain is a nation of shop keepers when it come to diplomacy. It's moved on to be pound shop diplomacy.
 
Good to see the government decide to ban the purchase of Telecomms kit from Huawei. Of course if Gordon Brown hadn’t killed the U.K. Telecomms Manufacturing Industry 20 years ago none of this would have been required...but we are where we are and at least this is a first step......

They shouldn’t have proceeded in the first place, and as such have added half billion to the cost and delayed the rollout by a year

they don’t get credit for rectifying their own balls up

It's going to cost us billions the customer... Also all their kit 4G!? And in FTH FTP... And if they are not trusted in our broadband how hell are they allowed to continue building nuclear power stations. This is where the race to the bottom ends up, giving Trump a stiffy.

Not so sure I trust equipment from America either. Both regimes are too concerned with making the rest of the world be more like them.

The inevitable 5G delay will help Johnson out on his broadband promise he is not going fulfill. And if the UK really wanted to be genuine with its principles of China's treatment of Hong Kong or its Muslims in indoctrination camp, we would be targeting the high ranking member's of the CCP, denying them our financial services, also blocking them and their close family purchasing properties and university education right here in the UK.
