anelka made no attempt to follow the ball or go around howard. howard was watching the ball, anelka dived into howard.
no penalty , yellow for anelka for simulation + dangerous play...the ref got it wrong.

we are unlucky to be down to be honest.
im happy with our 2 cb's and our cm.
baines and pienaar are quiter than usual.
neville and coleman are trying but making poor decisions.
howard looks shakey again and saha isnt closing down ,linking play or holding up the ball. compare him to anelka who is playing the same role and you will notice how little he is doing.

Unbelievably pathetic, no pressing, poor movement and little ideas in possession. Moyes has clearly instructed them to sit back and soak up the pressure, we are playing with such a deep defensive line.

I'd Swap Cahill and Rodwell around and have a go. We need a bit of mobility upfront and Cahill's pressing and energy is needed.

Coleman might be erratic but he's the only one out there who looks like he can take the game to Chelsea. I hope Moyes doesn't go for the easy option of taking him off.

C U N T...REDSHITE I AM NOT....MOYES HATER I AM..THE BLOKE IS FKN CLUELESS

Ha... banned. ^^

/wave

Anyway, yeah, 4-4-2 and go for it. We won't - Moyes will wait till 20 minutes left, hoping he can nick a goal on the break. Then he'll bring on Beckford and we'll press hard in the last five minutes because we're not used to the formation after being negative all game, get caught on the counter, lose two or three nil.

Mark my words ^^

Seemed like were doing ok until the goal, I missed the first 20 mins.

Prehaps being a goal down will force us to just come out and have a go. Might aswell lose by 4 as lose by 1.

Please please please Moyes TAKE SAHA OFF and get Yak, Vic or Beckford on.

This.

He might not have steamed in on him, but he's blocked the player. That happens outfield its a peno.

There were defenders back so...yellow card...good reffing IMO

Ok. So what law of the game did Howard break? That happens outfield and half the time its not given.

Howard didn'r run into him, he ran towards him, stopped whilst Anelka was several yards away and Anelka instead of trying to go round him ran straight towards a stationary opponent.

Close to an obstruction yeah but it wasn't. Hence why the ref only gave a yellow cause he knew it was an iffy decision.

Objectively, we are only one down. The hows and whys, not too important, we can not change it.
It is how the team responds to this set back that concerns me more. We can take the game to Chelsea, we have shown in glimpses that we vcan get at them. However, our choice of final pass has once again our main stumbling block.

We have the calibre of player to create problems and get shots in on their goal. We have to be tighter at the back, give them no time or space in midfield, but more than anything be clinical when the chances come. We will not get too many.
COYB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vanillas.

WE ARE FUKED...NEVILLE [Poor language removed]....WE ARE FKN DIRE:lol:

Ok mate.

Tone it down or find another forum.

Clear?

He had a good run.

He had his chances and failed miserably.

You'd think that after a mod tells you just to tone it down a bit, you'd tone it down a bit. Instead, he decides to have a go in the same language and tone that he's always had.

No time for that sort here. He's off.
