How anyone can say that wasn't a pen I dont know. Howard was lucky to stay on.

This.

He might not have steamed in on him, but he's blocked the player. That happens outfield its a peno.

There were defenders back so...yellow card...good reffing IMO

Yeah, but if the PLAYER knows it was offside and doesn't own up to it, he's cheating isn't he?

Sorry mate but you're very, very naive. I'd rather have a competitive, winning Everton than a pansy, honest, losing one. ;)

Id rather win a game without cheating. Wouldnt call that naive at all.

Unbelievably pathetic, no pressing, poor movement and little ideas in possession. Moyes has clearly instructed them to sit back and soak up the pressure, we are playing with such a deep defensive line.

I'd Swap Cahill and Rodwell around and have a go. We need a bit of mobility upfront and Cahill's pressing and energy is needed.

Movement is terrible when we have the ball isnt it.

As soon as he turned around I was like Oh F---. Don't know if he saw Anelka or what.

Now I'm really getting scared because Chelsea haven't looked very good today in my opinion and yet they dominated us. Probably fortunate to only be down 1-0. Maybe Cahill could pull off another bicycle kick in the 90th to grab a pt.

BS. anelka delibrately ran into him and howard did not even move.

He's come out and like it or not, he's blocked him. Ref's give it...happens at Goodison with Saha, its a peno, no one's complaining.

Its a soft peno from a soft pass back. If you're gonna put your team under that pressure...expect consequences.

Easy mate. It wasn't a pen. The player ran into our goalkeeper.

You're right though that Howard was lucky to stay on with this ref.

I could rewrite that to this -

Easy mate. It was a pen. Saha got flattened by their goalkeeper.

You're wrong though, Cech was lucky to stay on.

Roles reversed we'd all as a 100% group be screaming penalty and be hitting the roof if it weren't given.

He didn't block him, Anelka ran into him, deliberately on top of that. He could easily have rounded him. What was Howard supposed to do then, dig a hole and lie in it?

You expected anything more though?
