Expansion of drone programme.

These are the elections ratified as non-fraudulent by international observers? Ok.

Maybe they should have gotten the observers in for the US 2000 Presidential Election count?

Yes, that would be a wholly 'fantastic' chain of events....Grenada, Cuba, Guatemala, Panama........

International observers? You're having a laugh Dave if you're going to tell me that any international group is unbiased at all. Of course we had our own Jimmy Carter who said that the Hamas elections were "fair and balanced."

As for Grenada, Cuba, Panama, etc... Again, not really understanding where you're coming from there. Are you insinuating that the USA has been conducting covert military operations against those countries?

Expansion of the drone program? Hmm..... Yeah, I guess that would be a bad thing if we were using that program to usurp Pakistan's authority. If the USA is expanding the drone program, there's one reason and one reason only and if I have to explain it to you, then you might want to look up Chico's "Current Events" thread.

I love conspiracy theorists.

To state that it's an 'insinuation' that the US has invaded (Grenada, Panama) or destabilised/attempted to destabilise (El Salvador, Cuba) sovereign territories in the region trumps any conspiracy I'm capable of!

Yeah, I'm a real Charlie Sheen.

If I didn't think you were a red before Dave I really do now.

The frightening thing is that approximately 90% of the oil in the world is controlled by state owned concerns from lovely countries like China, Russia, Iran and Venuzuela. If ever there was an argument to develop a renewable economy that's it right there.

You say 'red' like it's a bad thing.

China/Russia? Well, if you dont like those governments then you can thank your "triumph" of western liberal democracies and the 'end of history'. Wasn't everyone celebrating the market expanding into these areas? Enjoy the victory.

Iran - yeah, let's get the puppet Shah back in there and his murderous monarchy to give their reserves away to BP/Shell...work it out like gentlemen, eh?! Venezuela - using oil wealth to pay for programmes that increase the population's life expectancy and literacy rates. Monsters.

Onward and upward with wind and wave power!!! We've nothing to lose but our air conditioning systems.

I always knew it was a mistake knocking down that wall and then all those Eastern countries throwing off the Soviet shackles. Just think they would not now be in the EU and we would not be inundated with Polish plumbers.

But Dave would have been content.

Well, Robert, I hope all the satellites of the Former Soviet Union have enjoyed their introduction to the roller coaster ride of the free market. I'm sure whole populations living the good life on a credit boom will now take in their stride the assault on their living standards from the state and the IMF. At least they dont have to face the tyranny anymore of driving Trabants and life without Bee Gees CDs.

That Dave mate is why in countries such as ours we are given the chance every few years to boot out the government if we do not like them and try something else. You should think about the millions of ordinary people like ourselves who are not permitted that luxury and it is nothing to do IMF, Banks or Business.

Freedom we shouldn't take it lightly. When we do it will be taken away.

Tell me Dave, where would Russia, Iran and Venuzuela be if they weren't sitting on vast natural resources? What else do they do exactly? These states have hit the geological jackpot, it doesn't make their governments worthy in any way.

You could give it a go though if you want. Head out to Russia and replace the bollocks you spout about BK with bollocks about Putin. I'm sure the Siberian Hilton is a lovely place. Bed and breakfast Russian style.

LOL  Earthquake weapon! Come on.. Why would we need to occupy Haiti? We as a nation can't do nothing right I guess..

The troops are their to keep order during a time of disorder.. Plain and Simple...

I'm tired of all this secondary motive stuff..

P.S. If we were planning on haveing a go with Chavez we would'nt need a little outpost on Haiti.. We would just push his inferior country into the water and be done...

That's doesn't work for the lefties though. Why? Cause then they've got nothing to hold on to in terms of the big bad USA.

You're spot on though. If we really wanted to occupy another country, we'd just go and do it. I mean really, who's going to stop us?

But then the USA doesn't work that way now does it? We're quick to aid countries who need it but there will always be those who refuse to acknowledge that fact.

:lol::lol:

Well, I can understand you stating that, because it's been ages since that happened....oh...let me see...way back in the mists of time....2003.

ROFLMAO.
