Alex Iwobi is boss on the left as well, so it's not completely realistic.

Tom Davies has become an absolute enforcer in my last 2 saves as well. Absolutely bosses my midfield and is always criminally overlooked for international honours.

I ended up selling Iwobi for £60m because he was playing amazingly well. I bought Ruben Neves and Youri Tielemans and they've been absolutely amazing.

Vinícius Júnior and Lautaro Martínez are two great players in the game as well.

Had Everton for 2 years. He never really performed and had a shocking attitude. I remember thinking he'd get absolutely ripped on here.

How do the newer versions compare? The most recent one I had was 08/09 and I was terrible at it. Do you actually have to just be good at the game, or is it still possible to find one wonder formation that you can use with any team and win the lot?



Always Taribo West on a free. I always used to sign an Irish defensive midfielder called Derek Tobin whose value always shot up. Mike Duff too, but that might be the 97/98 version.

Yum Mammana was the other one he took a little longe to come good but you’d have the best pairing in world football for well under £10m

CM 01/02 is the one most people go for I think. Not sure on the best place to download it. @NathDogg mentioned there are some youtube videos that explain it

I think it was 97/98 version where you could download the game from the disc. That one disc got passed around our school like a bluey on VHS.

I remember always getting Erik Nevland on a free, Bakayoko being good and wasting so much time looking for interested foreign based players.

The new one is actually really good for people that are intimidated because you can literally delegate anything you don’t want to do.

I pretty much just choose the team and sign the players, even have it set up so my head of youth goes out and makes bids on young players I just sign them off
