Yep, shot it with a crossbow, then tracked it for 4o hours before putting a bullet in it anyway. They then skinned and beheaded him.
 
This stuffs nothing new though, it goes on all time in South Africa and has done for decades. It just took a Yank doing it to make the world suddenly care about it.

A) I'm well aware of that and have been equally horrified at it
B) That doesn't make it right.

Cecil could well be the tipping point the world needs, so that we collectively pull our fingers from our arses and do something about it.

In 100 years time we're going to be the only bloody animal species on this planet not domesticated.

So whats the difference this time then? America Bashing? It looks like Americans are doing the protesting outside the dentists.

Whats actually happening is that a collective consciousness of common sense is starting to question the validity of stupidity and those who continue to Champion its complete nonsense.

You may believe hunting is okay, and it is because thats what we as a species did. Before we figured out farming anyway. When you emerge from the Bronze Age to become a highly paid Dentist you put away Bronze Age tools and common sense tells you hunting is no longer required.

The more we name and shame the more the World collectively starts to look after itself with the common sense most of us have been blessed with as its most intelligent caretakers.

My two cents.
