Cant attack 'benefit scroungers' when millions more are now in the same boat - bad look.

Yes I agree that they earn a ridiculous amount of money and should accept some reduction or give a large portion to charity (which they may already do), but to target them as the reason or blame them for non playing staff being laid off is a disgrace.

Why not target most of the billionaire owners of these clubs? Why not target millionaire bankers, CEO's of massive corporations or tax dodgers? Its because they are in the limelight and popular so it attracts attention and an easy target

The usual Tory slight of hand tactics of getting people to focus their anger and attention on a set of people whilst they are up to their usual evil tricks.

Maybe we should go out onto the streets on Saturday at 3pm and applaud these people earning upwards of £100,000 a week for refusing to give up any of their salary, at a time of worldwide strive. Their struggle is indeed stunning and brave.

Football needs to take a pay-cut, from the owners and directors to the players, however, forgive me if I'm not supportive of the players at what I'm sure is very difficult time for them...

Well they have a weird system, where they use play offs. They're 15 points ahead with 1 game left and cant be mathematically caught. Its wholly different league and cant really be compared.

And believe it or not this was 'Breaking News' on the BBC news channel last night.
It was repeatedly scrolling across the bottome of the screen as they reported on the thousands
of deaths around the world due to the Coronavirus. I kid you not.
I wonder why a club in a league ranked 14th in the world suddenly becomes breaking
headline news on the BBC? As a public service broadcaster they are an utter disgrace.

None of the teams occupying the European places can be caught by the end of the regular season. Interestingly though 1 of 3 sides could get relegated, and they have voided that result.

What I take from this is, 1) If you have a 2nd phase/play offs to accompany the regular season, they can be scrapped. 2) Where it is possible for a side to be caught during the regular season mathematically, the result is to be voided.
