Nothing like a defeat for many on here - we're are you when we win? We're 6th not 16th stop scaremongering and grow a pair. To change from what was relegation form towards the end of last season to competing at the top won't be done in months.

Embarrassing shouts on here.
Get your head out of the sand. We're relegation fodder. The rot set in around 1892 and the 9 leagues and various cups are only covering up the rot. Burnley! We lost to Burnley! Beginning of the end. Gonna happen really fast now. Or we'll beat West Ham.

The truth is we're aren't actually that good, we had an appalling transfer window really we didn't bring in another defender, a attacking midfielder and a striker. If Mirallas hadn't played such a stupid cross to Rom we wouldn't have left with no points. The fella who scored shouldn't of been on the pitch, but in some ways we could of been more snide and tried to put more pressure on the ref. When you keeper gives the opposition a goal like the first, you know it's probably not going to be your day.

Against arguably the worst side in the league aside from Sunderland, I expected a lot more from our attackers today. It's nowhere near enough for Barkley to "keep things ticking over" as I read here today, and Mirallas stunk the place out until he was inevitably brought off. It's a good job Bolasie put that goal in otherwise the miss would've capped off a(nother) disgraceful showing for us. Thankfully he had a good second half, which leaves me scratching my head as to why he can't perform like that more often. It goes without saying, then, when you have one striker and your attacking midfielders aren't on form, it's going to be incredibly difficult for said striker to have an impact on the game. Lukaku's hold-up play was impressive today, but he was feeding on absolute scraps and it took a last-minute nick by the defender to stop him slotting home a tap-in in the second half.

As most people are saying, it all boils down to our quite frankly disgraceful transfer window. I'm not arsed about Sissoko, infact I'd have been as gutted as I was with us signing Bolasie if he'd have joined, but we are so short of quality it's scary. No real competition for Barry, Barkley, Coleman, Baines, Stekelenberg, Lukaku... which means you have to keep poorly-performing players in the side (Coleman, Barkley), especially if the manager, as it seems, doesn't trust the younger players.

I havent been so annoyed about a lost for ages, and im getting more angry as the time ticks by,normally im not bothered about defeat and just move on quickly, but how the heck we lost that when we were the only team that looked like winning i dont know, other than we know that we are Everton and do things like this that no team does better,at 0-0 i thought when we were missing chances that they would score with there only chance and it would be one of those days, which they pretty much did on target wise, and typical that the winner came from someone that could have had 2nd yellow mins before they went 1-0 ahead, was not happy with 1 point when it was 1-1 the way we playing and looking likely,so never mind losing and having me scare the dog like mad with me going mental, and i am normally so normal that you might hardly even know we scored if you had camera on me for example, and typical that scores went our way mostly as well

Bit of perspective, to be 5 points off 1st after 9 games, and still not playing the way we can, I'm happy enough with that. Deulofeu has to start tho.

Exactly how Liverpool thought after dominating everything, it happens Burnley are a hard team to beat at home

Just watched these now and although it'll be tough for completely different reasons to yesterday I think we can and will win. Early goal will be key for us, to get them out playing, they conceded early in the 2nd half today and had a mini collapse after that.

I hope Baines comes back, along with Barkley.

It's a big game IMO, it's not likely all the top 5 will win, so win it and we can go into the West Ham and Chelsea games holding a place in the top 4, before yet another international break.

What a difference a day makes :)
