Burnley Case

It was a clear act of provocation but Evertonians did not let him get headlines to detract from Goodison’s last men’s game.
You've never seen the colour drain from a man's face so quickly when Masters was eyeballed as he was ushered across a tightly pack Goodison Road. A sudden surge towards him and the two minders made me imagine they'd all touched cloth.

Good hopefully they wont be idiots. Is the argument you mentioned kind of innocent until proven guilty, We had done nothing wrong until after the accounts were submitted and found a breach. I'm not sure i fully understand the argument, are we calming that if we sold a player on say the 25th of June we would have been compliment, But we didn't do that and were found guilty.

Pretty much mate.

The argument is this. We had up until 30th of June to be compliant - so our breach actually took place on the 1st of July. Burnley were relegated in May so technically according to the rules we hadn't breached at the point Burnley were relegated.

The panel decided against that - that we had been in breach all season - but technically that's not what is in the rules. Leicester got off you may remember on the same application of dates according to the rules.

If the panels decision is to be applied to other clubs technically Villa, Newcastle, us, Forest and anyone who had to sell anyone before the "PSR deadline" on June 30th in recent years are in breach of PSR - as they would have been in breach the whole financial year, if you applied the panels decision in our case for the rest of PL.

Take Elliot Anderson - Newcastle sold him to Forest to comply with PSR at a knock down - hes now being sold for £120 mill. If you apply the panels decision to Newcastle in this instance they breached PSR as they weren't compliant the whole year before they sold Anderson.

What I don’t get, and I may have gotten this wrong, is that within the report at the first hearing the Panel acknowledged Everton didn’t gain any sporting advantage- therefore how have they then arrived at this?
We're doing the Dele on loan thing then, right?
