I repeat: less spin more action. All I want to hear from Brands and Silva this side of the pre-season is "we've let go a, b, and c for these reasons / we've bought x, y, and z for these reasons."

Dont you just get tired of the "this is what we'll do" stuff? Not interested really. I'll read it but the significance I place on it will be zero.

I would prefer hearing them telling us they have a plan.

I'm delighted he's in and it's all over with. And I believe he's the right choice for us.

Couldn’t agree more. When we get linked with players of other Premier League clubs, they laugh thinking that we can’t get them or we’re no better move. That’s got to change. I want them terrified if we’re linked with their players.

...so? We have players to sign and get shut of before then. That'll tell me more about the intent of those two than getting a repeat performance of the words they uttered last week.

Indeed, we have had West Ham fans laughing at us, Southampton fans laughing at us when we tried to take their manager, Watford fans laughing at us when we wanted their manager, Swansea laughing at us for trying to take Williams and Iceland.

1. Would be very silly to say we wanna sell loads, make us seem desperate, lower bids inc
4. Why wouldnt we accept loan deals? Davy Klaassen is costing us around 4m a year in wages, if we cant get somebody to match that do we just keep him hanging around or is it best to loan him out for a smallish fee and some help towards his wages. Same for other players.

I wish Stonesy and Hatch all the best but I’m taking a much needed break from Everton until the new season’s kick-off. Of course I will remain engaged with this forum; I enjoy all the different characters on here...and the resultant banter.
