Brands & Silva press conference.

Sort of agree here. There is just no need for this press conference.
The conspiracy theorists will be out in force. I can confidently predict that whatever is said, it will be analysed to death within this forum.
We will have all the body language experts replaying it in slow motion to scrutinise every blink or rub of the nose. People will comment about the tone of voice used during interactions and attempt to explain what was 'really' said if you 'read between the lines' and how "it's not what is said, but what is unsaid" that is really telling. Blah blah blah.

Personally I am looking forward to something significant happening tomorrow in this press conference. I don't think for one minute we will announce a new signing but I think the manner in which it is conducted and who is actually speaking will be the significance. I expect the new CEO to be there to introduce Brands and Silva, I expect Brands to talk about the strategy for the next five years and Silva to talk about passion and commitment on the field. This is a press conference which doesn't need to happen, we have nothing to announce, unless Kenwright has quit, so it has to be a State of the Nation type thing.

99.9% of the time your right mate but on this 0.1% i think you should cut them a bit of slack.

Like you said, last 2 years has been an absolute disaster when it comes to chatting tripe but lets wipe the slate clean and i think its important we let the 2 of them publicly speak together and galvanise the fans ( which to me is massively important ) and hopefully make the players sit up and take note.

Maybe mate. Hard to know beyond tone what can be achieved with this. I think as @roydo says it's the way of the industry now to have presentations like this. And I reckon we all know by now the message we'll get in terms of style/results/break with recent past.

....I'll still listen in like! lol

I don’t think that’ll be the case.

It’ll be pre-arranged questions for a start as all these things are, but I’m interested in what they’ll say, genuinely.

Both have made the right noises so far, Brands particularly.

I’d like this to happen also, but I think the main topic will be the new Flymo 27056 (30L grass box capacity) which has just hit the europeon market.
 
Something significant in the press conference? Haha. No. It's a meet and greet, and that's it. Our fans have such imaginations!
