We bought him from Atletico Madrid for 14M (50%).
After two years we bought the remaining 50%, for 12M.
Total of 26M, making him the most expensive player in Benfica history.

Last season a chinese club offered 45M but we rejected the offer...
I think he will do a superb World Cup.

Yeah, right at the end of the summer window but it was said Benfica asked for 40m so we walked away.

...the indication is they spoke for the first time 3 weeks ago after which they both agreed they could work together. I think the partnership is key and they both seem to be on the same page. I like Brands saying it’s pointless signing a player Silva doesn’t want as it demonstrates a joined-up approach with no individual agenda.

We might not be as forward in bringing in new players than we hoped, but i’m sure if there’s an opportunity to get somebody they really both like they will make it happen.

With the Watford compensation stuff still going on it would be folly to make public that they’ve been having coffee and biscuits for months chatting about Neymar and Carvalho

Was impressed with the PC and found it to be positive and a refreshing start of a new era for Everton. Brands was cool, composed, confident, competent and is definitely the lead man as could be seen not only by several of his comments but also by how he took the lead right from the start without any need for any other Everton Hierarchy such as Mr Bill etc.

Silva is absolutely delighted to be in charge of Everton and is not here for the short term, he wants to be here longer than his contract. He is full of positivity and has clearly done his homework about what has been going wrong prior to him taking over and what needs doing to move forward. He respects Brands and has a good relationship with him and even though they will do things as a team, he knows that Brands is the main man.

I am definitely liking this new look Everton. Looking very promising indeed. Best PC i have seen in a long while.

Agree entirely. I am looking forward with optimism to the new regime. Can't wait to get going next season.

Portuguese newspapers say that Everton are interested in Lascelles for 40M €.

About William Carvalho they say that Everton are interested, but Shakhtar Donetsk entered the race for him today.
I think William is overrated, he is very slow, dont know if he will adapt to english football.
The footbal is very different from Portugal and almost every teams are strong.
