Obviously we all want the dead wood cleared out & 4 or 5 exciting additions, but they just got here. I suspect very little will happen until the players start returning for pre season.

Think we wanted him to turn up and say they were all crap and deserved booing then announcing a brand new first XI tbh

...the indication is they spoke for the first time 3 weeks ago after which they both agreed they could work together. I think the partnership is key and they both seem to be on the same page. I like Brands saying it’s pointless signing a player Silva doesn’t want as it demonstrates a joined-up approach with no individual agenda.

We might not be as forward in bringing in new players than we hoped, but i’m sure if there’s an opportunity to get somebody they really both like they will make it happen.

I think they will be a lot further on than they are letting on eggs. Silva mentioned he had a small list of players which I'm assuming are targets that he's had for some time and it sounds like Brands was on the blower on Friday ( probably a lot sooner )

They are both aware how short this window is so lets hope we bring in some quality sooner rather than later
