Bolton Vs Everton

It was one half though, where they had confidence, and full backing from the fans - from arguably the first time this season.

It would be unfair to drop anyone after that performance though, Saha shook off his tag as Glassman infront of his old team whilst they were trying their hardest to get him off (Vidic and Giggs' challenges spring to mind).

They also played some nice stuff together Yak and Saha if anyone was dropped it would either be Yak or Saha and I think it would be harsh on either striker as they both played well at United.

One goal for either of them could bring back the confidence to get a hatful more. It's been a while since our last Yak trick.

Bolton 0 - 3 Eveton (Cahill, Saha, Yak)

Knowing Moyes I dont think he will change it.

But...Cahill will be chomping at the bit and he's a player you want into a squad when confidence is high.

We've now got a fully fit team. The midfield is looking like giving Moyes a headache which is what he wants and always good for competition.

Personally for me....back to 4-5-1.
Howard
Neville Jags Lescott Baines
Fellaini Osman
Arteta Pienaar
Cahill
Yak/Saha

Bolton dont have pace so Yobo being benched for Lescott and Jags at CB and Baines on the left. Neville and Arteta work well and so do Baines and Pienaar, so good balance on the wings.

Fellaini and Osman are still finding their feet. One has to stay back while the other pushes forward. Fellaini seems more suited to going forward in the Cahill role so I can see it ending up being something like a 4-3-3 that anything else. Osman will sit in the middle so it'll leave us open in the middle being Bolton are a physical side. Unless Fellaini sits in the middle and gets stuck in.

Either Saha or Yak will do. Both can be lethal but I think the Bolton defensce will kick the glass man Saha more than Yak who got into better positions than Saha against United.

I hope Castillo gets a run out. I really like what I saw of him the start of the season and, like Fellaini, would get better the more games he plays. If we're 2 or 3-0 up at some point I'd like to see him come on and sit in the hole and keep things tight.

could we be seeing a sahatrick?

Given the attention to our inability to sell out against United, I hope it will be noted that we've sold out our 3,500 allocation for this game.

Looking forward to the game, am flying up from London to see it (y)

For a sec I thought you were suggesting 12 there - I'd like that formation!!:D

Got 2 tickets today for the Bolton Game bit suprised by them being on general sale but i dont think its just about our current form more to do with the price of tickets and the cost of living being a constant source of irritation to the wallet . Went to Stoke and it was a blast so heres hoping Bolton is more of the same .

After watching in near silence ( like most others ) the first half against Utd the only thing that was keeping me going apart from the busty blond sat infront me ( had a great view of her cleavage ) was the fact Tony Hibbert wasnt on the field to make it worse . Lets be honest Utd are miles ahead and its abit disheartening to think that even they are off the pace of the top 4 considering the way they took the piss . But credit were its due we gave it all we had and got our reward which may just kick start us to salvaging something worthwhile from such a [Poor language removed] start . Being at a birthday party on sunday and having to listening to pissed up late arrival kopites fresh from the alehouse going on about how " this is their year " really pissed me off and i cannot wait for weds to come .

Bolton will provide a stiff test they nearly always do and it will be our turn to be Utd as they will without doubt be in our faces . We have to stick to playing football which should see us ee them off with realtive ease . Just please keep Tony Hibbert locked up in a safehouse in Kenny whilst the match is on .

Come on Everton

I dont see why so many people are dropping Cahill. We had one good half with one team, who didnt do well at all against Arsenal and Man Utd in the first half. He has just scored for Australia with a great goal, and probably desperate to get back on the pitch. And id like to see a midfield of: Arteta - Fellaini - Cahill - Pienaar!! I think itd be great. No matter what anyone says about this 4-4-2 theory...

Its almost as bad as this Ant guy on bluekipper saying he is a terrible footballer.

Why does Osman deserved to be dropped? He's been one of our best players this season and to be honest he's a better out and out centre midfielder than Cahill. He just brings more to the table.

Cahill wasn't particularly good against Liverpool, Liege or Hull. His international form means nothing when it comes to Everton.

I'm not talking about dropping Cahill in the long run, but don't think it would be fair on Osman to be dropped after the team performance on Saturday. In the end, Cahill will always get in the team. I've said it on a few occasions before, that I believe he's absolutely talismatic to Everton. As for wednesday, he has to be content with a place on the bench for me though. He can also have an impact coming from the bench.

Bolton tickets sold out now, i'd say its more then 3,500 we take.

Have the full upper tier and half the bottom.
