Dear Esk.

Can you ask him to clearly indicate why him and his mate Robbie Savage are so insistent that players under contract think they call the shots rather than the club (and indirectly the fans) who are paying their huge wages. Including when said players get injured.

Thanks.

I think you should call yourself mate 0500 909693 ;)

I have phoned Radio 5Live and asked if Ian Wright would like to comment on his assertion 2 weeks ago that Stones would definitely be sold.

I'm hoping they're going to get me on so he can answer.
I don't think you need to bother mate, the man put his foot in his mouth over the airwaves and for me anything the guy has to say has no gravitas anyway

To ask him to comment would suggest his opinion actually counts for something

True - but at the same time he's on a national show and there's thousands of other club's fans listening to him. If he says something which turns out to be incorrect I reckon he should be held accountable, if only to give other listeners the truth.

If these pundits were held to greater account then perhaps they might think twice before spouting rubbish and report facts rather than rumours and ill-founded opinion.

Producers would never have it unfortunately mate - they'd certainly not make him apologise, he says things like "Stones will go" to get people to call in.

If he toed the line all the time it would be a bit boring wouldn't it?

Agree with you on accountability but your talking about a man whose opinion won't change and I suspect even if his credibility was questionable would still be on the airwaves,I would imagine a large amount of the listeners are quite aware of his total lack of knowledge and take his comments with a pinch of salt, mind you I'd pay to listen to his answer if you got on and called him out ;)
