The videos and the fact that UEFA have now charged them show that this incident was a lot bigger than it was originally portrayed as being. So whether he was joking or not about Evertonians being involved, Thompson's comment was ill-advised considering how serious the situation was. Hopefully he'll lose his job at RM as a result.

Absolutely shameful behaviour on their fans' part, no wonder their club issued a statement immediately in an attempt at damage limitation. It wasn't just a few, there were hoardes of them baying for blood. I dread to think what might have happened of they had managed to stop the coach and get the doors open. It was animalistic behaviour.

They have a serious and growing scum element in their 'support' which they need to do something about pronto. Not holding my breath waiting though.
