Blue Union Board Angst

So you agree that it wasn't confidential, thanks for proving my point

Everton also said afterwards that there was due to be no note taking, that was clearly not the case seeing as Kenwright actively encouraged them to make notes

No, I don't agree with that at all - as I just said, the club did not permit the release of a transcript or recording; or indeed the recording of the meeting at all.

So yes, it was confidential. A report afterwards on what generally happened would have been fine and probably co-ordinated between both parties, if the BU was in any way, shape or form professional.

Im not ignoring the point mate I'd say thats you, someone said it was meant to be a a confidential meeting. It quite clearly wasn't end of story

hence the term myth

I think we're at crossed purposes here

Whether or not there was agreement that anything was confidential is totally besides the point in my mind (although only one passage in the whole transcript suggests it wasn't and the context and tone is lost. Everton, as you rightly point out, suggested otherwise afterwards). They recorded a conversation with him without his consent then released the entire transcript without his consent. No matter how you dress up the rest of it, that's wrong and they still deserve criticism for it.

haha so because they released a transcript of an interview it invalidated their whole campaign.

thats tremendous logic

Yes.

They went from a fan pressure group with popular support to a bunch of ragtag, unprofessional idiots condemned by every right-minded person in one fell swoop.

You think I'm a Kenwright fan? Wrong. Yet the moment they published that without permission they lost any degree of sympathy with their cause I had. They did not speak or act for me.

Nor do they speak for me.

I wouldn't say it invalidated their campaign, but it undermined it completely for me

It was the moment I realised that they had a militant element and didn't have any real ethical boundaries. I also made my mind up very firmly that I wouldn't have anything to do with them.

An appalling caricature of the efforts of good Evertonians.

Keioc and the BU impacted to clear Kenwright out of the road and get fresh ideas and people in.

If you see the BMD and Moshiri as your saviour then you should be praising not pillorying them.

They organised 2 marches and taped him during a meeting without informing the club. Then they proceeded to bang on about organising more protests only to back down when the team performances on the pitch improved. These are the facts dave, I used to attend the meetings they held and followed them on social media. I witnessed the change, how they used to belittle anybody who didn't agree with their approach, backing out of protests because they were fearful of a backlash against everyday, match going evertonians.

The cold hard thruth is they wondered into the wilderness, jumped on the bandwagon with SoS on the away ticket price protest and pop their head up every now and then to keep themselves relevant.

And if you think they had anything whatsoever to do Moshiri taking over the reigns then you are more deluded them

Yeah fair enough, valid way of seeing it.

Basically the "benefit of the doubt" completely went. A proper own goal.

When they had a clear objective of getting rid of Kenwright, I supported them wholeheartedly, and attended the protests.

Since they cancelled the ongoing protest because of performance improvement on the pitch, I lost faith in them.

Now they're just trying to dictate to the club to ban a national newspaper. They're a complete irrelevance.
