To me its 100% on the hierarchy at rhe club. The powers that be at this club have created a losers culture of utter cowardice and meal acceptance of mediocrity to fester at the club. They just want us to do enough to survive in the league and make money. That attitude rubs off on everyone associated with the club in a professional capacity. It's created an environment were losing is not only accepted it's shrugged off as a non issue most of the time and nobody is more surprised then everyone at the club when we do fluke a big win.

This attitude is why we can only attract mediocre mercenaries for both manager and players who don't care. Winners wouldn't touch us with a barge pole. The only people we can get are managers/players who have no standards other then money. Once they get paid that silly money its all good, they'll do just enough. Nobody at the club cares when they fail so why should they? The people at the top are very open about not giving a dam so why would anyone lower down the line care? We don't hire managers at Everton football club, we hire pasties to take the fall once every year or so. The players will do the bare minimum to make sure we stay up and keep them on their over inflated wages. The only reason anyone playing for us would try is for professional pride and that's in very short supply at this club these days. Why would any of them love or even care about this club when the people who run the place and playing them hold it in such little regard?

Until the club rids itself of this poisons attitude we'll never get better. All we can do right now is get another crap manager who'll be a shade better then Silva. It's not like that'll be difficult, he just needs to be a good man manager that will be able to appeal to our loser players vanity and a half decent coach that can drill these losers to get basics right game by game. That's the best we can hope for as this stand and it's incredibly grim.:(

Don't disagree

But we have a board thread for thrashing them.

I just wanted the players to get their dues all in one handy thread

Schneiderlin and Williams are an absolute disgrace to the Everton shirt

Gueye Zouma Mina Walcott just aren’t that bothered about playing for Everton, it’s a stepping stone or playing time for them.

Jagielka Keane Baines Tosun Niasse Martina Siggurdson all mean well but aren’t good enough

Out of the current squad the only players I’d keep are:

Bernard (there’s a player in there who seems to care but we can’t find the correct position for him), Richarlison (seems demotivated but could be a star) Digne is boss. Gomes I’m not sure on, he looks demotivated as well but in top form is good enough.

Pickford Davies Holgate Kenny Lookman all seem to care and if in top form can contribute to the squad.

It’s absolutely disgraceful though that we’re looking at only 3 or 4 players being good enough (all signings from the last window) and a few kids who might come good.

Gueye has been our best player in the last two games. Again reckon that says as much about the rest of them. He may not have got the move but not once has he treated Everton badly. I have no issues with us telling him he can't leave and have no concerns that every time he has gone on the pitch he has given his all for us. That's a strange shout from you imo because regardless if you rate him or not, his effort can't really be questioned.

Mina - far too early. The lad has been injured the last few weeks and our defence actually looked decent when he was in it during our good run. When it was settled. I don't see any hint that he isn't committed when he plays.

Zouma - I do think he cares. I just don't think he's actually that good.

I understand that mate but you did put a poll asking how much blame the players should take and that was my (long and complicated) answer!;)

I'll say this about our current side though, I've never seen an Everton team that I've hated so much. Worse sides? Sure but never one so uninterested and unlikable as this one. There's only one or two players that I can stand and even with them I'd sooner cut them lose asap. Horrible rats the lot of them.

That's more like it

Maybe it’s time to take a page out of the Sporting fans book and storm the dressing room handing out a few good kickings. ?
At the very least it could drive a few of those high wage wasters out of the club, pronto.

Went for 50%, no doubt a huge part is on the managers shoulders but some of these players have seen through 4 managers and are still here. The likes of Richarlison and Siggy yesterday were just way below what is expected of them and guys like Keane are just not good enough.

There can be differences in opinion on the motives behind their lack of performance but the overriding theme is that for whatever the reason most of these players just aren’t performing to even an average premier league standard let alone the standard we expected when we paid out big fees and wages. Keane and Mina are a 60 million pound centreback partnership and they look like one of the worst in the league. If we bought Zouma he’d be int he same price bracket.

0% because Allardyce showed a well-organised manager with a sense of presence will get the players to do his bidding. That we weren't much keen on his bidding is another matter.

The players played for Moyes too. They seemed to give up with Bobby, Koeman and now Silva but the buck stops with the man picking the team & tactics.

See also Solksjaer & Mourinho...an inspiring manager can and does make all the difference.

No they don't, though. When they've played together we've won/drawn, bar Liverpool.

Even v Millwall, we conceded more when Mina was off injured didn't we.

Mina and Keane have played he following games as a pair (the whole games):

Chelsea (A) - 0-0
Cardiff (H) - 1-0
Liverpool (A) - 0-1 (Zouma was on the pitch when we conceded, not that it's his fault)
Watford (H) - 2-2
