Sadly Dave, I do, many many days like this.
A couple of years ago when we are cruising down at Bournemouth, they came back but Barkley put us ahead in injury time only for Junior Stanislas to equalise 8 minutes into injury time.
Funes More scoring late on against Chelsea, only for John Terry to score an offside equaliser late on.
West Ham, 2-0 up in Martinez's last season at Goodison. Miss a penalty and lose 3-2. Winning against Stoke City, lose it late on.
1-0 up against the worst Liverpool side of my life time at Wembley only for Distin to pass it to Suarez, we go on to lose.
I'm so used to it, happens so many times, its to be expected.
Its a mentally thing. Absolute bottlers, especially the old guard (Baines, Jags etc). They just continually shoot themselves in the foot.
If Bournemouth score 2 screamers, fair enough it happens. But Baines is one of the most experienced players and there is absolutely no need to give the foul away for the penalty. He has one of the best goalkeepers in the league behind him and he rashly makes a foul that I wouldn't expect a 17 year old to make. Same with stupid Jagielka against Wolves.
We have seen it so, so so many times.
If you want happiness in life, to enjoy your weekend. Don't rely on Everton for it, because they will just let you down.
Its a mentality thing, as a club we are good comedy value, give the top 6 some good laughs but generally, absolute bottlers. Pure Everton.
