Expect new faces in soon

Martinez said at his press conference after Duncan Ferguson’s testimonial match against Villarreal: “We know we need two to three new players and we are going to make sure we get the right ones.

“We are looking for that area [up front], the number 10 position, and I think we need a centre-half; the three areas are quite clear.
Wow. He's not mincing his words. Good to hear.

Surprised and made up with that

Does Roberto get those recurring dreams where he is going into a major examination and has not done enough preparation?

Sadly that is how I feel this Club now really stands with 6 days to go.......

In my opinion we need another striker Kone is not good enough, it's ridiculous that we got rid of Jelavic when in reality he's far better than Kone. I like Naismith he seems like the decent chap, but in reality he's just not good enough too often he just gets in the way and slows our attacks. Seamus Coleman and Baines need somebody in front of them, far too often last year they were left exposed because nobody helped them out. Personally I'm still not a fan of Martinez and his general attitude to football. Sadly in the premier league it's all about taking chances, you can play great football but if you don't take your chances it doesn't matter. I don't like his head over the heart mentality because when we're losing games we just take our time and make it easy for the opposition like most fans I just want to see our players put in 100%. I think we'll have an average season this year perhaps finish around 7th, I can't see us getting into the top 4 or winning a trophy but I think Deulofeu will have a huge say in our fate. He's a player than can create something or of nothing and has the ability to put in great crosses, in the 2013/2014 season he was largely responsible for our upsurge in form, when he was injured we were terrible. Anyway hopefully we can at least beat the RS and give the red echo something to whinge about.

I don't usually pay a lot of attention to Roberto's anodyne utterances, but those lend me a little hope.

I think I may actually be over my deep seated anger towards Rooney. The disappointment and sense of loss remain and it was bittersweet watching him play in the blue shirt knowing it wasn't to last (deja vu), but he is still clearly an Evertonian.

If at all possible I'd have him back in a heartbeat (just not when he's in the twilight of his career).

It's taken him a week before the season kicks off to realise this?.
