What do you think a Big Club is?

More supporters? More trophies? European Success?

just wanted to get quite a few opinions as I've heard loads of people say we aren't a big club and loads saying the opposite.

We are big. Liverpool are bigger. Man united are bigger than them. Newcastle are smaller. Spurs are about the same.

I'd rather be a bluenose with 2000 people through the gates and no trophies than any other prick of a football fan.

The senior mangers at the club, ie from Elstone and above, buy into the 'little Everton punching above its weight' syndrome.

Its something drummed into the gullible so they are grateful for small mercies.

I think the term "big club" is a misused word in these days.

There are many group of clubs:

Biggest clubs: Manchester United and Liverpool
Big clubs: Arsenal, Chelsea
Big-ish clubs: Spurs and Manchester City
Sleeping giants: Everton, Aston Villa, Newcastle United

I'm not ruling out Chelsea & City, but they have bought their individual "big club" title! Sadly you can buy it these days... that doesn't mean they deserve it! Unfortunately football was only invented in 1992 to some people, so clubs like us lose out

Its over used by modern footie fans dead insecure over the significance of their club.

Personally I reckon Everton are the best thing since the Abi Titmuss sextape and couldn't give two f*cks who thinks they're bigger or better than us because they're bells and were not.
