Can Everton still be considered a “big club”?

Hello dear Evertonians.

I know it’s a point of pride to consider Everton’s history in the game but with it now being 30 years since the club won a point can we still consider Everton a “big club”? It just seems an ever long cycle of celebrating dinners and token awards like Everton giants for our players who last won something, makes us feel somewhat of a relic. I wonder what other fans and the media really think of Evertonians claim to being a big club.

In premier league terms we are somewhere in the middle. Probably not a big club but definitely not a small club either. Very much mid tier these days, but with potential to be a very big club.
