Should’ve had at least one goal tonight before Brentford went ahead. Still proved himself to be a very painful thorn in Brentford’s side tonight however and with each passing week, he looks more and more like a player that’s actually been coached to play to a certain role and one that works for him. That comment he made about Moyes where he Moyes would tell him how to improve was pretty damning about the ‘coaching’ beforehand.

Think all I'd say is that no matter whether a player is in good form or bad form or whether he's a fan favourite or not, we should be allowed to criticise when a player does something which isn't great.

Missing those three chances tonight has cost us 2 points and you'd expect your striker to score at least one or two of them.

I've nothing more critical to say about him than that. Add in all the context you like, but it's difficult to argue with that as a statement IMO

Well he certainly adds something different from DCL, in fairness to him he worked hard tonight,,particularly in the 2nd half to create those chances , we should have scored from one though. His biggest weakness is that he seems to be solely right footed , opening his body up all the time to side foot it with his right, keepers will be taking note of that .

Never thought I’d see Papin and Beto in the same convo
Well, the point is, Papin is arguably the poorest player ever to win the Ballon d'Or - which probably tells you that only exceptional players ever win the Ballon d'Or. The greater point is that even a Ballon d'Or winner was capable of a succession of appalling misses - on more than one occasion. Yet, he always responded, either later in the game or the next one. That's what we need to see from Beto. A response. It's more about character than technique.

Didn't Michael Owen win it?...

Was thinking earlier if Dom hadn’t of got injured would we still be in a relegation battle.

I wouldn’t back him to score any of the chances Beto slotted in the last four.
