At least he got into position to miss them ! Showed great pace i thought on three occasions, should have scored at least once, but made the keeper save them at least.

Strange career, only just got his first Dutch cap last year at age 30.

Yes, I wikied him.

Feels like Dutch keepers are like that. I can't remember a good young one. They are all Van Der sar or Stekelenburg and about to retire before they get good.

He was quite good tonight and did well on all of those chances. If it was Pickford we'd give him credit for making it difficult for the striker.

Needs to go and watch Tony Cottee and Michael Owen vids. Take the keeper out of the equation. Move it wide and slot easy.

If DCL misses three 1 on 1s then there's a lynch mob in his thread.

I don't want to be too critical as the lad is beginning to win me round (which I didn't think possible a couple of months ago), but we should have won tonight and the reason we didn't was his poor finishing (3rd one wasn't a terrible effort TBF).

Still, his pace and movement have created a couple of those chances himself I guess

If he continues to miss them chances then it will turn for him but given his current run he gets off with them chances tonight, should have scored but at least he’s still getting the chances.

Definitely not a trend. He did everything he had to do to get into positions to make opportunities happen. Tonight wasn’t even a bump in the road.

Defo not a DCL performance. Beto is still doing things right. You’re going to miss some. And he’s the biggest critic of how he played. You could see it.

Would have been boss if he'd finished that last one. That was the one he looked in most control and placed it where he was aiming.

He'll be disappointed he didn't score and yes he should have scored a couple of those chances

But he gave us a lot of threat on the counter attack and caused them a lot of problems.

He's quite clearly the best option even when all our strikers are fit and it's hard to understand why he didn't get a proper run of games earlier.

Really want him to succeed and he's improving massively. But some times the way he gives the ball away is bonkers. Missed 3 sitters today. Tbf he slotted them in the last few games but let us down today

My memory of Tony Cottee is that he was terrible one on one. Great natural instinctive finisher but if he had time to think he invariably missed!
