She hasn't done anything to renounce her citizenship. What law are you citing to stop her from being allowed in the UK?

We have to establish a secure route for them to get back in, assess what they’ve done and whether they can be reintegrated back into society. It must be a process that is fair and not exposed to sensationalist reporting and hysteria.

We have to have this because the alternative is that they sneak back in, uncontrolled, unassessed and without us being aware they are back.

They’re already here aren’t they ? Almost 500 before Christmas last year any they’re probably actual jihadi’s rather than wives but because they didn’t give interviews what did the government do ? Nothing . Now because of a timed interview it’s all hands on deck , it’s pathetic and dangerous .

Mate I’ve said before in the Irish border thread border controls are something I know a little about . There is plenty there available to us , if you’re travelling into the U.K. by a recognised form then they know who you are long before you land and necessary checks can be done (a lot of this started in the EU or at least they were instrumental) . If thers is information on them and they’re travelling through commercially on their own passport then they won’t simply be nodded through mate , I can say that with some confidence . With the obvious caveat of human error .

To be clear I’m not saying mistakes don’t happen or that people on the periphery don’t get through it that there aren’t failures of intelligence but if you’re a jihadi fighter and we know you are and you get onboard a commercial flight you shouldn’t be strolling through nothing to declare without a couple of counter terrorism coppers stopping you .

Didn’t give interviews though so the government could simply ignore it , now because a Times journalist tracked this girl down we need to look at the treason act . I’ve no problem with any legislation that might be required or applicable but it’s a classic example of reacting to the media and shutting the stable door after 500 horses have bolted .

Too late for that. Loads of beardies have returned from Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Chad and Mali and are now actively wandering amongst us. Some may even be preparing your friday night take away!
