I'm a Muslim and I strongly believe this girl should not be allowed to step foot back into the country considering she does not show any remorse for her disgusting actions.

If she does come back...Try her in court, put her behind bars for a long time, take the kid off her and allow a decent law-abiding family to give that child a chance in life

Great post.

And yet she wants to , whilst still endorsing the state she lived in and does so away in a refugee camp . To me It’s far from an easy conversation , I was taught empathy and compassion but I find it difficult to have to much in this situation. Of course she can turn her life around and that’ll be fantastic but I’m not convinced she should do so without repercussion . However saying that , what even should that be I don’t know .
i was just thinking about her being in that camp surrounded by possibly other isis followers , would she be in a position to openly express remorse for her actions without endangering herself and her unborn baby?

Good for you Ameen. She is not representative of our UK Muslim Community, and agree with all you say.

The correct solution is allow her back, possibly prosecute (depending on what the law says on the matter).

It's probably not a gigantic number anyway. For Belgium, it's 115 children. Quite a few have been in the media, mostly grandparents that want their grand-children over here. Mostly normal people, that have other normal children. Like this woman (and her grandchildren, who are now over here):

763

The one above was quite straight forward tbf, because she doesn't care what happens to her daughter- only the grandchildren. Her daughter is doing a 10 year prison sentence in Turkey.

And then you also have the returned 'foreign terrorist fighters' (various degrees) from Syria. Bit of discussion on the exact number (because of the definition), but approx. 100 (majority of returnees from between 2013-2015). According to OCAD twenty-five percent of them are perceived to be a serious terrorist threat (hence in jail), the rest is harmless. For female returnees it's 10 percent.

Those that have been radicalized, but stayed put, some not even having direct contacts with a terrorist group, pose a far greater threat.

This girl is extremely stupid.

She's just done an exclusive interview with Sky News and you'd think she'd use it as a way to show her sorrow and to make her case as to why she should be allowed back.

Instead she says she doesn't regret her actions, that she was completely fine with IS beheading people and had a "good time" over there.

She needs to be kept as far away from the UK population as possible.

We could, y'know, deradicalise her.
She is deserving of all the money that it would take to bring her back, house her, care for her child, provide security for her, etc? If she had displayed an ounce of contrition then people may have sympathy with her, but she clearly has no regret about what she's done. She's old enough to know right from wrong. She's under no duress now, completely safe to say she regrets her actions and needs help to get home. Yet she refuses all of this, still claiming she sees nothing wrong with what she's done. Keep her far away.

She'll come back and be allowed into the country. She'll have to make her own way back but I'm sure her family will somehow find a way to raise the required funding. Based on that interview I doubt very much she will spend any time in prison, although one would hope that the authorities, alongside her local Islamic community, ensure that she goes through a thorough programme to remove her current radical beliefs. Perhaps I'm being a bit naïve there.

Our current laws leave us extremely exposed to these returning radicals. It's quite scary really.

She's had the sprog now.
Mother and child doing well.

If her and this child do make it back to the UK, we all know how it will play out.

She will get a top lawyer, and argue that separating her from her child, infinges her right to family life, under some UN convention.

It will drag on through the courts for years, and cost us (taxpayers) millions.

She will then be free to bring up her child, hating liberal Britain.

Based on past similar cases, I don't think anybody can disagree with what you've posted.
I'm just settling down to watch her give an interview on Sky News. Thankfully I've had my tea.
