Same. Any excuse will normally do.I thought our second was a dead cert to get chalked off
Yea that one deffo would have certainly been chalked off mSame. Any excuse will normally do.
I see them everywhere now. Even the one where O'Brien hit the post in the first half, I bet they would have scratched that for Barry standing in an offside position somewhat near the keeper, doing basically nothing at all. The mind has been conditioned to spot any possible minor infraction to the letter of the law, which I'm sure we can all agree is what football is really about.
Allowing that second goal is a scandal. Total reversal of how that has been ruled all season.
Armstrong stopped a defender from clearing the ball by going for it, their player tonight wasn't impeding anybody so didn't really impact the play. The only way it would have been disallowed is if he'd touched the ball.Would love to know why that wasn't given offside yet Armstrong was the other week against Aston Villa.

If Armstrong wasn't there, his covering defender would have headed it away, he was also millimetres away from heading it whereas the lad tonight was nowhere near heading itNah, not having that. Armstrong didn't stop the defender who was challenging O'Brien from winning the header. They are both practically identical and either both get given or both don't.
Never was a penalty...could have doesn't mean it was.Let’s be fair, could have easily been a pen against Myko too.
It is just too much of a grey area for me...one day it is, the next it isn't. They should change the rule and as long as any player is offside, then it doesn't count.Nah, not having that. Said this on the Villa thread. I wouldn't say today's was identical, but where do you draw the line?Agree with this. Trouble is I bet there will be an identical scenario a few weeks from now and it'll be given.
