Bad ref decisions - for and against - season 2025/26

See, some people still maintain this "Its not on purpose, we have just been unlucky" narrative.

You have to wonder what it takes for them to see the obvious. It started before the Niasse card, but that was the beginning of the obvious.
Bet there is common character traits that beliefs in various deities, hereditary institutions. Blind support for various state institutions etc.

23/2/26 Everton 0 Man United 1

Grim 'performance' against a very weak united side.
No major VAR decisions. They were probably watching Walsall v MK Dons instead.
Awful tactics from corners by us...crowding the goalie and area - when they had Maguire who everyone bounced off.

Fantastic away win.
I think we should have had a penaltywhen Beto was tripped but no review called. Sly tackles from the geordies all over the shop and not punished by ref.
Joelinton should have been sent off twice. Hall should also have been punished for his assault on Barry even though he scored it's still an offence.
Getting used to poor ref performances and VAR isn't doing what it is supposed to do.
Still waiting for VAR to disallow our winner.

Can't remember what the rule on handball is, but one of the last two games, I think Man U, they scored from a passage of play where their player slipped to the ground under a challenge (not a foul), the ball looked to pretty clearly hit their hand/arm, stopping it from rolling away, then they got up and carried on playing leading to the goal. Don't remember there being any mention of this or checks done at the time. Was pretty egrerious imo.

3/3/26 Everton 2 Burnley 0

Decent game of togger. Only 1 yellow card. We played like a real team with control for once - well at home anyway (bar Forest).
Biggest issue for me was VAR seemingly totally ignoring Dubravka taking out N'daiye in the first half. Deffo penalty for us completely overlooked. Nice one Neil Davies.

14/3/26 Arsenal 2 Everton 0

Poor reffing overall. Arsenal are a dirty side who match the horse punchers with their dark arts of blockages, snide and time wasting. Horrible to watch.
We may have got away with a penno when Keane clipped Havertz - but he was looking to go down at the slightest touch.
