Only saw extended highlights - we were SKY game of the day.
Seemed to me the ref and VAR let Bees get away with a lot of pushes and niggly challenges whereas we were pulled up for everything.
Should have had a penno when their CB grok blatantly pushed Barry before KDH scored.
Garner booking was a joke - yet Lewis Potter gets away with his challenges.
We won't be bullied though. Proper grit and determination in this team. Love to see it. Led by JOB - but everyone follows suit.

In the main he was quite good and tried to keep the game moving. Didn't think Garner deserved a booking though.

My only question is with their first goal. I haven't looked at it again in real detail, but it seemed to me that Thiago was dragging back Branthwaite when the ball dropped in behind him, preventing him from getting back at all.
All round though, I thought the ref was pretty good. Best we've had in few years I reckon.

When the ref is not mentioned to much, which is so rare, you know he must have done well. Got the pen incident spot on as well, which in real time is probably maybe hard to see
I thought that too. Branthwaite was in a bit of a battle with Thiago when the ball was lumped up. Initially I thought it was a foul by Thiago, but imo just good centre forward play as he held Branthwaite in and created the space behind. Tarkowski reacted too slowly and I thought a player of his experience should have dealt with it.
