When he jumped he didn’t aim to grab the locks. Instead he got them and let go pretty quickly. Very different from the Cleseas Sideshow Bob getting his hair pulled as an example. How was it accidental?
You could claim that for every challenge.

It wasn't intentional and he won the aerial battle as well so I have no idea how you can think that was a red cardAnyone who thinks Keane's offense isn't a red card is living in an alternate dimension. Seriously? You don't think he can tell the difference in feel between a shirt and some hair, that he wrapped his hand the whole way round and pulled? You think he did that by accident?? I've been playing football (organised leagues and friendly kickabouts) for 40 years, and never once accidently wrapped my hand fully around someone's hair and pulled it. Sometimes I wonder if people commenting on here have ever played football. Today I have to question if some of you actually live on this planet. Completely delusional.

How do you "accidentally" tighten your fist tight enough to pull someones hair, while in mid air fighting for a ball?It wasn't intentional and he won the aerial battle as well so I have no idea how you can think that was a red card
Because he jumped and you clench your hands for maximum lift offHow do you "accidentally" tighten your fist tight enough to pull someones hair, while in mid air fighting for a ball?
There are plenty of acts in the game that are part of normal play that can be deemed violent.
Yh, inconsistency is the big problem. I wouldn't care about 90% of calls that refs/VAR made if they were consistent. Then at least you know the rules and can play within/around them. You can't do that if they are not consistent.I think it's the inconsistency that pisses people off.
A hair pull and studs half way up someone's legs should both be red cards if the hair pull is deemed so.
Bit daft that though as the context is a physical sport. If I shoulder barge you into some hoardings on the street, it’s a violent act but not on a football pitch.
Do you? Why does clenching your fists give you maximum lift off? Why does he only clench his fist in mid air? Why does he only clench the fist that happens to be wrapped around the oppo's hair?Because he jumped and you clench your hands for maximum lift off
