Baffled why people are arguing over Keane's red.
Did he pull the lads hair? Yes.
Hes getting sent off.

Is there an explicit rule though that states pulling hair is deemed violent conduct, and is there any context to it? Serious question as I’m confused.Baffled why people are arguing over Keane's red.

I personally do think its a Red, but not a 3 game ban - but probably will be based on what its been classed as unless we appeal to get it downgraded or something. Said it last night, no idea why he is pulling the hair at allBaffled why people are arguing over Keane's red.

Personally i'm baffled that people aren't. It seems to me like the referee has just misremembered/misinterpreted the guidance. He's recalled being told that hair pulling should be clamped down on and treated as violent conduct but forgotten that the guidance explicitly states that this only applies when not challenging for the ball. For me this is exactly the same thing as something like the Uche 'punch' on Tarkowski - technically you could argue it's a red card but in the real world it just shouldn't be, there has to be some context applied and an understanding that it isn't actually violent or dangerous. There is an absolutely enormous difference between the hair pull on Cucurella last year on the one last night, and a failure to understand that is very strange.Baffled why people are arguing over Keane's red.

I searched on AI and couldn't find anything
It's probably me and my lack of IT skills, but I would like to read the section in the laws that mentions hair pulling
Thats the bit i dont get myself, why its claimed he didnt mean it. how do you go up pulling someones hair, but not mean itBecause it clearly wasn't violent conduct
He didn't even mean it and there was hardly any force. It also wasn't off the ball - Keane is challenging for a header in normal play.
I'm equally baffled by some of our fans who are so adamant it was a red card. Its honestly one of the worst decisions since VAR was created.
Doesn't say intentional or not but yesIs there an explicit rule though that states pulling hair is deemed violent conduct, and is there any context to it? Serious question as I’m confused.
It's not in the laws of the game. It seems to only be some sort of premier league guidance
"If a player is not challenging for the ball"
I dont think he meant it at all. I think he tried to grab the shirt like happens all the time in aerial challengesThats the bit i dont get myself, why its claimed he didnt mean it. how do you go up pulling someones hair, but not mean it
We obviously never know what's going on in someone's head but I don't think it's particularly difficult to understand what people are saying really. Very few fouls are intentional are they? You can kick someone without meaning to, right? So why is it so difficult to understand that you may also pull someone's hair without meaning to? Nobody's saying the hair just magically appeared in his hand and an invisible force made him pull it, they're saying he intended to grapple with the player and pull his shirt (as happens with virtually every challenge like that ever made) but unintentionally grabbed his hair instead. Personally I think it's quite hard not to understand what's being said, but there we are.Thats the bit i dont get myself, why its claimed he didnt mean it. how do you go up pulling someones hair, but not mean it
Everton must get Keanes card rescinded to a yellow for it being accidental.
They they must argue that the resentment shown by the players towards the officials was all caused by VAR. Yet another VAR call going against Everton when so many of the big teams do not get pulled for the same offences.
Didn't read it carefully fair play"If a player is not challenging for the ball"
