But generalising an entire people with uninformed stereotypes is completely fine.

I agree, there really is no need for the name calling, there is far too much of it in here.

But the referendum wasn't about playground insults (and I would be very surprised if more than 0.1% of people voted no because someone from the yes campaign insulted them) it was about whether 3 sentences should be added to the constitution. And while there were some accusations of racism and bigotry floating about, the Yes campaign was almost exclusively a positive campaign rather than a negative fear campaign. Which is one of the major reasons it failed.

The country had a fair, democratic vote and a conclusive majority was reached. That works for me.

Works for me too. Disappointed as I am with the result I’m not denying it.

When are you going to reveal the many reasons all your Australian friends (who definitely exist) gave showing how deserving of their plight the indigenous people are? This is the third time you’ve been asked.

Finally, I know quite a few Aussies who are neither uneducated nor racists. They have told me many reasons why the people in question aren't entirely blameless where their current situation is concerned.
