[knowing your history]

I think it's a few things.
Some teams are easy to read and I think Villa are one of them, tippy tappy football out from the back. Despite what people say about Moyes he's a very good tactician, reads the opposition well and sets his team up to suit away from home.
When we are at home it's totally different, we are expected to be on the front foot and the away teams read us like a book and set up well against us.

I think at home everything needs to be a bit quicker and you will see a different team, Grealish needs to let it go quicker.
We are also a little defensive minded when at home and I think it confuses the players. How many times do you see our wingers knocking it backwards, when for me at home it should be all out attack.

Then there is the mindset, we should have a defensive mindset away, and an all out attack mindset at home. We have the away mindset sorted, at home we look confused sometimes.
We seem to feel the expectation at home and I think the reigns need loosening at BMD and the players told to go out and enjoy it rather than playing chess at home like we do away.

Yeah good post here. Four wins at home all season and tbh based on the flow of play Brighton and Palace were incredibly fortunate ones to win so home record could've been even worse.

At least in the run in playing both Manchester clubs, RS, Chelsea will suit this team as they'll all come out to play and leave space to counter against so would expect at least one win there and a couple of draws.

I like him. He's a good coach who let's his team play some great footie. He also has a little snide in him .
Could do with someone like him when Moyes gets booted upstairs.

Yeah he’s a top manager like, probably p4p the best in the league IMO.

Just think his comments after the game were a bit of an overreaction, which in turn has taken the emphasis off a very good performance from our players/manager.

We have had some lucky moments which could have resulted in us drawing or losing some of those away games so they even out over the season for me.

The VAR people still owe use about 10 decisions though.

Few aston villa fans in work. Their feedback is they were crap and Gardner should have been off

They were only as good as we allowed them to be imo, they are a very good team tbh. Garner was lucky, dont know if 'the foul' warrented a yellow card, but they should have had a free kick.

I was expecting a battering but hats off to the lads. Great away performance and didn't actually look like a weakened team. Surprised at how well we nullified Villa's midfield and forwards. Didn't see Watkins do a thing really - not the best when Tuchel is watching.

Doesn't help that his team just lost at home and he is expected to respond to some really stupid questions by a clueless interviewer.
