Transfer Rumour Ashley Young

If his wages aren’t ridiculous then can deal with this signing. Provides cover, played well last season and allows us to spend further up the pitch.

Pragmatic. We tried Vinagre last year and he sat on the bench for the season, at least Young will contribute when needed.

He hasn't signed yet. Might be one injury from having Holgate as first choice fullback. Just to put things in perspective.

Not really fussed if he does sign to be fair. But I think it's an indication of where we're at financially, the type of body Dyche wants in, and the short-term view on everything.

Could change but we're still very much in the "patch it up" until the stadium is ready and financially we're not in a mess

1 club is signing a player with experience of playing in Europe ahead of their maiden campaign there, the other is signing a player of experience because their owner and chairman have screwed the club financially that the only way to get bodies in are to sell what isn’t nailed down and bring in 38 year olds on free transfers
But, it is about the player rather than the club surely.
Asit happens Young would also have a lot of European experience.

If Brighton signed Ashley Young would that still be good business?

If it is good business for Brighton then why is it not good business for Everton?

The fact that we are debating the merits of signing a 38 year old who can’t get a game at Aston Villa tells you all you need to know about the stewardship of the club under Bill’s watch.
Lost out to Luiz, at least that's tue name my Villa fan said, as their player of the season.
Must have done something right.

Because Brighton are in a position that they can afford to have 1-2 experienced heads as squad players without effecting the younger ones and yes it would be smart if they did it because they’d also sign younger players around it

We seem hell bent on bringing in/re signing old players as first choice players, Lonergan aside, while selling younger players
