I don't think Macca was as bad as people make out. He is very Everton. He absolutely loves it and showed that out there in his effort, even if he made a couple more mistakes than usual.
We need an attacking midfielder, maybe 2 and 2 strikers in the summer to improve.
Can't see us getting that with our budget. Will be same again next year until we get investment IMO
McCarthy and Barry were also pretty average today. Not a great day for EFC...but nothing new there.
I agree. A couple of mistakes but the rest of the players around him were not on their games today. He showed real heart again...especially for the triple tackle in the second half. He gets stuck in like a young Peter Reid.I don't think Macca was as bad as people make out. He is very Everton. the draw was unkind to us if we had got them at home we might of nicked that.. the one positive out of that game was James McCarthy what a player that lad is

Agreed...decent enough shot stopper but doesn't command the box or inspire confidence. Hopefully he will get better with age......?
we agree to disagreeyou kidding me? McCarthey was brilliant today!
Kenwright is the main reason we will never be succesfull there is no doubting that.
But its the tactics not the players that mean we hardly create anything.
We never have efforts on goal unless from distance.
I know i just hope one day the penny will drop with a lot of evertonians that bill is a liar and they start to ask why we have no money. The Blue Union tried that already. There's not enough support.
I had faith up until their 4th goal. We are not too far away, come on Bill...
we didn't mate, we really didn't. we were second best for the whole game and never actually achieved a moment of sustained pressure. what we played at emirates in the league was darned well, not this.
think you're going a bit OTT about the changes that need to be made here as well, we've had a good season but needed to strengthen in jan - we didn't and now we have no better second alternatives to turn to.
Have to disagree sunshine, the team played pretty well upto the subbing. Forget Janaury that has gone need to take a good hold of the summer window. For me sign Lukaku if not him go for Remy.
So what other changes was I bit OTT?
Shhhh. You aren't supposed to mention that mate. I'm trying to grab at positives.Exactly the way Richard Wright didn't
We have the players though.I think the tactics are good its the players we have that need too much time to think or just have not got the quality to spot movement ahead and play the incisive pass and also the movement is not of the quality of the higher teams. Quality is what we need and I am sure RM will be looking at more cultured players than we have now. The burning question is how much these players will cost as we are limited in what we can bring in while the higher clubs can afford almost anyone they like.
