We don't just look gift horses in the mouth, we jam open the beast's jaw and ram our head right in until its gag reflex is overloaded. Only them are we happy.

Said the exact same thing last night to my equally depressed brother. Last season was a huge missed opportunity. We blamed Moyes and Neville. With a new regeme we have done exactly the same 'kin thing. One tough obsticle in any cup run is the bare minimum. Sick and tired of the same garbage year after year!

this season was totally different to last.

we bottled it last season with a simple run all the way to the final with a home tie against what is now a championship club.

this season we lost away at one of the top 3 teams in the land.

But Wigan won Away at Everton and beat City at wembley. To win things you have to overcome the odds at least once. Joe Royle did this in 95 Newcastle, Spurs AND United.

Wigan have just won AWAY at City... we are just not able to rise to it. We are too nice... I was going ballistic when Baines kicked it out yesterday. Winners just do not do that. Hate being labelled a nice club. Win by any means necessary, it has been far, far too long. The only consistant factor in all of this is Kenwright.

agreed with the second part. just don't see how losing away at arsenal is the same as bottling it at home to wigan - two totally different ways of getting eliminated. i was much more furious after moyes' antics last season. i was just sad yesterday but knew it was a high probability we'd lose.

The only small mercy from today is my distraught mate put a tenner on Wigan to win this afternoon as, having seen the draw, he knew that to be a truely typical Everton weekend it would need the shock of the round. The icing on the turd so to speak.
