In work all day but thankfully managed to get good updates from here. Absolutely devastated about but he result. Just watched the game and the fine lines are that we just aren't clinical enough where they were. When on top we just haven't got that ruthless streak to grab a goal and that is always going to bite us on the arse. The Lukaku chance and Barkley chance as prime examples. I ain't pointing the finger at anyone though except Robles as everyone else is so that's sound by me. In all seriousness though he needs to sort his bonce out punching balls like that is piss poor so bobby and the gk coach need to start earning their corn with him because flapping at balls just ain't acceptable in my book. Gutted, pissed off, devastated to be out but this is just another day of being a Blue and plenty more will follow but it won't stop I or us supporting them.

Just back from the game. Thought the better team won, but if Ross had stuck his chance away second half it could have been different. Barry looked his age today - suspect tiredness is taking its toll. Robles made some good saves, but his never catching the ball was ridiculous. Even under no pressure he was punching it, getting no distance and causing panic in the defence. McCarthy had a real go at him at one point in the first half.
Seems like a bit of same old same old now. Against the better teams away you expect to be under the cosh for periods and you need to take your chances when they come along. We didn't create a huge amount today and again our play in the final third was disappointing. Ho hum. Need to push on in the league now - would settle for Europa qualification from Roberto's first season.

Having loan players didn't really bother me too much but I reckon we need to look at players to sign, rather than loan, after watching Deulofeu today. Players who want to commit to a club - and fans - committed to them. I just hope Bob can find bargains, like Michu for instance.

We were two goals behind and he obviously tried too hard to influence things. Overreaction much?

He could have tried by passing it to Seamus, who was better placed to do something useful, rather than run into a pack of defenders. Before he'd lost the ball I was shouting at the screen for him to pass it; when he lost it I was annoyed; when Arsenal charged upfield I was angry, then nervous, then spitting fire.

So no, it's not an overreaction. Haven't you wondered why he isn't starting games?

I will blame: Joel Robles.

No one is to blame. OK, Barry gave away the penalty but he has to do a LOT more bad to outweigh the good, and, anyway, were weren't out of it at 2-1. Like it always annoys me that the other team 'had a shocker' rather than they only played as well as we allowed them to, you just have to say that Arsenal took advantage just the same as the RS did. The system needs work and the players (our own, not loans) to make it work well.

I have just watched the final episode of Breaking Bad and, right now, I'm sadder that it's finished than I am about today's game.

Not at all. Unfortunately he's like Barkley, got an injury and not got back to the level he was before that. The lads a confidence player. Last week he was dire in a couple of weeks he will win us a match. I'd rather have a player like that than a Pienaar who'll play week in week out with a handful of assists and maybe two goals a season. I pay me season ticket money to watch players like Delofluff.

I can afford a season ticket but unfortunately I live in Kent and can only get to Goodison on rare occasions. But when I do go, I go to see the team, not individual players. It's always been the case where I'm concerned.

So,
The situation at half time was 1-1 after a solid first half and like me I'm sure we were all feeling optimistic about the 2nd half. Should we have shut up shop at 1-1 and played for the draw? I know it is Moyes-esque tactics but wasn't it the right thing to do? A 1-1 draw at the Emirates would have been a respectable result and I would have fancied us for the replay for sure, with all their fixtures and the record we have at GP. I was just disappointed that we didn't keep hold of the result tbh and I couldn't believe my eyes when we had got beat 4-1. Was he over-positive? Too naive maybe?

I disagree in that in cup football, the win is all.

So why not go for broke?

Was it just me that got a buzz off seeing the big man warming up the players pre-match today? Funny hearing Keane say he used to avoid him when they played eachother

Gutted about today

I do just want to say that the fourth goal came about due to Delo losing the ball when a pass was available. Just saying. Didn't really cost us the game, as it was beyond us already, but there you.

#vindicated

Arteta really went down in my eyes today. I don't expect him to do us any favours but I also don't expect him to outright cheat against us. I'll boo him in April for the first time since he left

Bloody Everton eh?

What a low
