Have only just switched my laptop back on since the battery died at 3-1. Has anyone mentioned Deulofeu not passing to Seamus in the corner, but going inside and losing the ball and Arsenal then racing upfield and scoring their 4th goal?

The sooner he goes back to Barcelona the better for me. He's no team player.

We were two goals behind and he obviously tried too hard to influence things. Overreaction much?

The game was over before the match started. Robles is not a very good goal keeper - to play him was Martinez's first mistake. After the poor start we played ok in the first half. When we are chasing the game either McCarthy or Barry should come off, as we have no Plan B.

No blame can be passed onto robles for the goals, he had the 2 or 3 iffy moents in the first half but he also made some fine saves.

Wouldnt mind seeing next match, naismith behind lukaku and putting ross deeper, think barry desperatly needs a rest, he looks mentaly tired, his anticipation and reading of situations isnt up to his usual high standards.

Drop pienaer too, his legs have gone, and it means baines gets either caught out or doubled up on the when the opposition attacks

There's some sad and bitter RS over on RAWK looking here for reactions to post on there for a cheap laugh.Let them laugh away at least we are an organisation based on sound sporting principles. At least we are club that has maintained it's dignity unlike that lot of hypocrites with their carry on over the years. At least we are not a club that wasn't born out of a landlords greed!Today is disappointing but we didn't reinvest in the squad in January and the rest is history. But with a bit of investment then we will give the top 4 a crack next year so Martinez really needs to put the foot down in the summer.20 years for a club like us to be without a trophy i hope that statistic alarms the crowd in the board room.If Martinez is backed with sufficient financial resources then we can be a top 4 club.Kenwright has his faults and he doesn't possess the vision to make this club successful in the modern era.Yet at the same time we don't want people like Mike Ashley and the Venkys running this club.I don't want us to be Man City style mercenary outfit either.Let's try and finish the season as best we can and get our sh!t together in the summer.Bill get the checkbook out!Up the Blues Liverpools original and Liverpools only football club.;):)

This was posted on here at 7 30pm and it was referenced over on rawk in less than an hour. For a club that they consider to be small and insignificant those badge polishers have quite the obsession with us.:)

Can't use Robles as a scapegoat, none of the goals were his fault.

We should play of played our strongest team today. We did not even play Arsenals strongest team and we lost.

Play Robles against some of the lower teams at Goodison to get him some practice. He may of not been at fault for the goals but he does not give the defender any confidence.

Each pass back to Robles was not cleared well at all, even the Arsenal fans were laughing at his clearances.

When Howard is in goal the defenders feel much happier and you can see that in there play.

....well a lot of them were slightly comical. But Robles is a red herring in any debate as to why we lost. Those reasons have been pointed out already in this thread. Looking ahead, I would like to see Naismith played up front with Lukaku...drop/rest Barry maybe? Just throwing it out there

When Howard is in goal, the opposition are heading goals in from 4 yards out. Yes the lad punched things he should of caught but at least we had a goalkeeper who wasn't stuck on his line.

And he wasn't to blame for losing today, no matter how many of our fans post so.

Top and bottom of it is that we don't have a winning mentality, and until we do we'll remain 'nearly men'. Every time we get into a 'must win' situation we fail.

correct...to scapegoat Robles is an exercise in red herringness

At the end of the day, Arsenal are a better team than we are. And so we lost. Who do we have next in the League? Spurs got thrashed and are only 5 points ahead of us and we have two games in hand (although one of those is Newcastle away and I don't think we will win that)
