I should be ok on 4+ shouldn't I?

I had the chance to make it 6+ with Chelsea but I didn't fancy paying £55 for that game.

You will be sound mate. Think it will go down to Season ticket holders with 0 aways if we get 5K & probably general if we get the full allocation.

The league game went down to 2+ aways with an allocation of 3k & other aways were we've had big allocations in the cup (Chelsea, Sunderland, Leeds) have all went down to atleast STH only.

I said on the forum the other week i'd be fuming if we only got 5,000 for a game at the emirates.

I still will, cos the RULES of the cup say you have to have 15%. Arsenal are breaking the rules.

Seeing as Liverpool only got 5,000 it will be only deemed fair if we get the same.

They're not breaking any rules. The rules dictate that the away club may request 15% of the allocation, but safety concerns take precedent over any desired allocation of tickets.

Not that i'm saying the safety concerns are valid mind.

In which case why have the 15% rule? Surely it should be incumbent upon each club to devise a seating plan that meets the requirement for 15% of tickets if an away team requests them.

I don't really understand your question.

The 15% rule allows clubs to apply for a larger portion of the away contingent than they would normally receive, and in many cases this happens. That alone is proof that the rule's existence is worthwhile.

We regularly allow more than the standard league allocation for cup ties at Goodison.
