We have been unfortunate. No arguments that City and Arsenal deserved to win. But...

Our mind was elsewhere when United visited.
Leicester needed two penalties to edge past us.
Stoke had a worldy and an injury-time pen to thank for their narrow victory.
Swansea also benefitted from a spot-kick in a tight contest.
West Brom scored from their only shot on target following a fortunate flick-on.
And West Ham stole all three points in stoppage time.

Someone has been drinking too much of the Martinez kool aid

That was rubbish today. Barry was missed dearly. We are in big trouble if we don't get defensive reinforcement by summer. Next year will be worse no matter who plays in goal for us.

So just to confirm as you all are not clear.
I recorded the match to watch here this morning,
Are you all saying to delete immediately or watch? :)

Watch it for the comedy value, Kith.

I think we are all beyond fume now :hayee:

Misplaced pass upon misplaced pass....our players strolling around the park like they were already on the beach....two men going over to the corner flag and positioning themselves at either side of the flag and one hitting the corner long.....Bobby taking to the pitch with a Mini Me.....The Drifters serenading the crowd at half time.

And my own favourite sketch.....an (albeit ineffective) midfield player being replaced at half time by a ......centre back

We were only trailing 2-0 at the time ;)

If only he had made a substitution like that against Hammers :pint2:

Watch it for posterity's sake as I have a feeling it might be the last time Bobby sends an Everton team out at The Park :(

lol

Like you said earlier, he appears to have lost the players.

That is always the signal for the death knell to toll.

Opposition mangers know if they get at us we will fold. It's just embarrassing at this stage.

Deleted it. Watched the 3 minute "highlights" on the Everton site. Three minutes of my life I can't get back.

Entirely agree. His substitutions are nutty. He expected Baines and Coleman to trouble Monreal and Belleron? Crazy.

Surely it was time to play 2 out and out wingers, one of whom, Del Boy, can be magic and not bring on a centre half to play at right back. Del came on at 70 mins. What a joke!!

EFC were very poor yesterday; the midfield was outplayed and besic had his worst game yet and it is clear that those 3 players - Besic, mcacarthy and Ross do not gel; our corner kicks and free kicks were crap as usual; Lukaku was marooned and got no help; Baines looks as though he is on the slide; but what we can all rely on is RM to make duff substitutions.

.....apologies if already posted but I noticed the dour demeanour of our players in the tunnel before the game started. It concerned me that there was no bantour or encouragement. I hoped the serious faces were a sign of focus but it clearly wasn't the case. The players started as if they had been drinking with me for 4 days at Cheltenham races. Arsenal had the tough midweek away game in Europe but you wouldn't have thought it.

Perhaps it's not a happy ship and I expect the new investor will find a communication route to the players.

Martinez should have taken the 0-2 at half time. We then could have carried on listening to the drifters instead of watching that crap second half.

The only positive I took from yesterday was that the result wasn't as severe as it could or should have been; what an overall woeful performance.

As @Eggs rightly mentioned, it was ourselves and not Arsenal who looked like they had played only a mere few days before in Europe.

I could spend a fair amount of time unpicking the shambolic performance as it was up there with most poor ninety minutes we've had for a while.

But it all boils down to having no shape, awful passing and players who were second best from the start. You could see they weren't fighting!

Only four league wins at home in nearly a calendar year (April to April) and all against dross: Villa; Toon; Sunderland; a then awful Chelsea.

What is most upsetting about this farcical situation at home in the league is that we're becoming desensitised to losing a home; it's almost the norm.
