He highlighted the fact Barry was missing, surely that is an admission of his own failure. If he hasn't put in place a Plan B for when a player of Barry's age and disciplinary record is missing then he is not managing.

what a bunch of clueless people we have here. we are playing some of the best football for many many years and you fail to see it..

Probably doesn't help your argument when you call fellow blues "clueless" mate. Respect the difference of opinion and argue your case, not other posters.

rubbish... you dont get that unlucky for that long, Everton under Martinez are utter, utter dung

We're the fourth highest scorers in the league.

We've conceded the same number of goals as Chelsea and only one more than Liverpool. Our problem has been letting in decisive goals.

To a certain extent you do make your own luck but we're talking small margins.

Of the team that started against Arsenal only Jagielka, Baines and Lennon have peaked. The rest will still get better.

We've scored 3 goals away at the 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 17th and 20th placed teams. That is a very impressive feat in itself.

And, if Howard, Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Baines, McCarthy and Barry are our preferred defensive players we haven't fielded that unit once yet this term because of injury and lack of form.

I'd suggest you accept that despite playing some really football, most of us would like to see the team win at home occasionally... just four wins at home this season is totally unacceptable and if you think it is acceptable, then it's you that could be described as being clueless.

if u manage to read what I am saying, then u will see that is exactly what im saying. some deluded people were saying we wasnt playing nice football and just sideways. thats what im on about. I agree results should be much better.

if, if ,if. we are rubbish, we play Luke warm, negative football, we stand off teams too much especially at Goodison, several very good players have gone backwards under his management, Baines, Coleman,Stones, in particular, time for him to go.

Not really having this sorry, it's a bit of a kopite stance to go with the "if my auntie had a ... She'd be my uncle" excuse. We have a good side and yet are rubbish about 85% of the time, the times we're good is because of players like Barkley or Lukaku turning it on, not the manager or his so called tactics.

How can we be that negative if we've scored only 3 goals less than Leicester?

Baines had admitted that he's still been suffering from discomfort in his ankle after a long injury.

Coleman was playing more like a winger (and actually played in midfield) when he first came through. He now has a genuine winger playing in front of him. When it's Deulofeu he hugs the touchline, so Coleman doesn't have the option of overlapping him. He's also had injury problems.

The transfer drama and fans getting on his back for over-playing unsettled Stones. Even without that, it's normal for a player of his age to go through peaks and troughs before finding consistency.

What about the players that have flourished? Lukaku has broken our Premier League goalscoring record, Barkley has more than quintupled his best ever goals return and has become an important player for England, Deulofeu is still about third in the assists charts, Lennon is in the form of his life, Barry has continued to confound with his longevity, Besic is starting to show how good he really could be...
