Watching that game shows how desperate we are for a bit more pace throughout the team. They were so much quicker to the ball than we were most of the time.
Thought overall we did not bad for 70 mins or so, even had a few chances, but then it all seemed to go a bit downhill after that, we just ran out of steam. Unlucky tbf.

Needed to make the 5 subs with 4 after 70 minutes. KDH & Ndiaye were also done as they had been defending & trying to support Beto.

I don’t expect Moyes to change his ways now though.☹️

I don't think we were unlucky - poor substitutions from Moyes again.

He takes off Tim - what match was he watching?

Bringing on Barry; what rubbish - I would have subbed him ten minutes after he came on; seriously. You could see he was not interested at all.

Moyes decision making when it comes to changes is utter rubbish.

myko coulda been tighter on dowman too
on the left where the cross
for the first goal went in
we seemed too gentlemanly in allowing the kid to play
Should have volleyed him in the air the first chance he got. He wasn’t on a yellow and there wasn’t much time left. It’s what other teams do to our flair players.

Dowman is a generational talent for sure, anyone who's seen him play knows this

Good luck to him.

Not the point, it's was a great first goal for a 16-year-old to score, and a big moment in the season regardless of whether they were already winning. He's had tons of hype behind him and this was his first big moment in the spotlight, it was always going to be a big story and moment.

If a 16-year-old of ours did the same at the end of a tough match when we were fighting for a title we would be equally giddy, lets not pretend otherwise

Been there twice (Rooney & Vaughan).

Anyway, think it took the shine off Gyokeres whos had a kick-in all season and happened to score an important goal for them, which is the reason why they brought him in.

Feel sick. Deserved more. Pickford has been brilliant for us throughout the season but he died there. This is the Pickford rival teams think he is. Just didn't need to come for that. Sigh
Never comes off his line, so when he does he's liable to get it wrong.

On the other hand that save from the Havertz header which ended up being offside was insanely good.

Arsenal beating Everton is not a talking point, they are years ahead of us. While I never want to see Everton lose, I would have been surprised if we had been able to come away with anything. They have players who can’t get a game who would walk onto our starting lineup. They have a manager who knows the modern game inside out, we have a good manager whose ideas are dated. The talking point from yesterday is the team selection, it raises questions about what is going on behind the facade or it highlights the threadbare nature of our squad. The team selection worries me more than the result.
