Not a truly great side though, I dont think. Got some quality players but as an attacking force - Saka has faded badly, Martinelli and Gyokeres just not very good. They have a great midfield and backline, but far from unbeatable imo.

Don't think we did ourselves any favours trying to sh!thouse a 1-0 win against this Arsenal team tbh, considering they're winning the league this season off the back of being the best at sh!thousing 1-0 wins themselves.
We were holding them up to the 90th minute with a stitched together backline and two strikers that couldn’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo.

Over all I thought it was a great performance, gutted that we didn't get the point we deserved. Aprt from the obvious of wishing our chances had gone in, I wish Moyes had taken McNeil off at 70 minutes. He was blowing out of his hoop by then, and I think George coming on then might have troubled them as they seemed quite nervous by then? Ah well hopefully we can get a result against Chelsea, for whom the new manager bounce seems to be fading?

How Ndiaye got any MOTM votes at all is bizarre to me.

Missed a sitter and jogged about losing the ball most of the game.

Just doing my head in now with his one too many twists and turns that the opposition are easily reading. Just lay the ball off once in a while FFS.

The problem, of course, is we haven't really seen "another day" like the one you mention at Arsenal under Moyes. He plays the percentages - keep it tight, hope to nick one - but that rarely works other than to keep the score down. We need better players this summer and a better manager no later than next.

Better more prolific strikers and they cost serious money.

No idea how Ndiaye got any MOTM votes.

You don't mean the one that came back at him at pace when he had basically no chance to know it would come to him do you

I would agree with you there on the George for McNeil shout. As we seemed to be getting more and more camped on are own 18 around that time in the game. Am sure George would have given us a better chance of carrying the ball halfway the pitch with his pace

Can't believe Mykolenko's hesitated and let Dowman take that ball, any other defender would have taken him out, we had no goalkeeper and he wasn't the last man.
A lot of our players aren't streetwise/cynical enough. Arsenal are absolute masters at it. Continually break up play with fouls,, constant holding, short pulls etc. Lots of our players are too hesitant.

Not that I want us to lose this one, but dad was an Arsenal fan, so would much prefer them to win the league than City etc. If we can win and that still happen then great, if not I don't mind the sacrafice. Head says they will win anyway.
Apparently Pickford felt the same way I did...

Barry was totally inept. Every touch and positioning play was abysmal. Totally out of his depth in English football. Said this after his 1st game on this forum. Total waste of money signing.
And we're all going to be made suffer because Angus and the suits refuse to accept that they've signed an absolute dud.

He'll still be here in 18 months time and still sulking, whinging on social media, and missing the mark on there as much as he does in the penalty box.

Sunk-cost fallacy. Angus is adamant. Stand and deliver.
