I think Arsenal will finish above Everton 10-12 points end of the season. So if the midfield is not better, the striker is not better or the defence is not better. Then one thing is very clear. Everton will finish above Arsenal this season
good call mate...nice syllogism

Hello all, just wanted to say well played on a great performance and a quality game of football. Nobody has put in a performance against us better than that this season and that includes Dortmund.

I've been following your performances since that start of the season and been mightily impressed at the football you've been playing. i was telling fellow Gooners (who were talking about closing the goal difference on M City!!) that 1-0 in this game would be a great result and unfortunately for us we couldn't hold onto the lead but an equalizer was the least you deserved after that performance.

A Grand Old Team you are, my earliest memories of football include you lot fighting the good fight against the evil empire from Anfield in the middle 1980's!

There's no reason why you shouldn't be finishing in CL spots. Your manager & players clearly believe it and now everyone else is starting to too.

All the best for the rest of the season!

what an absolute breath of fresh air to see someone with genuine intellect from another club give their honest and excellent views on todays encounter. Please feel free to post on these forums any time. You are one of a kind rocastle and its people like you who make this world a better place

...can't underestimate Oviedo's contribution covering for Baines. He faced real challenges at OT and Arsenal but came through really well. Great stuff and clearly a very talented player.

...January transfer window will be a real pivotal time. We have a sound foundation, but the added imputus of a few new players will really help. We failed to do this last time around. Whereas our competitors will send millions, RM will be at a real disadvantage so it'll be very interesting if he can bring in a few gems on the cheap.
Agreed. A new striker is vital - if Lukaku gets injured we are ****ed.

Thanks mate (y). My earliest memory of Arsenal was going to Highbury to see you play Sunderland in 1964. Brian Clough was Sunderland's No 9! (I'm a north Londoner by the way - grew up in Finchley).

Incidentally, I think we all witnessed the two teams that will challenge for the title this year. Your better play in the final third will probably be the difference in the end, but 2nd will do for me!

Agreed. When it looked like he got a knock today I poooooed myself.

We are thin at LB at the moment..

mertesacker:

“I think that was the toughest game we have been through the whole season,” he said. “They pressed us high up, all the way through from the start until the end.
“We couldn’t play that much and in the second half everything was possible on both sides, with chances here and there so I think it was a fair result.

Of the back of what has happened so far this season what makes you say that. Who has frightened you?

No one really, but there are a few considerably superior squads in the league.

Over a season, that tells. 15 games is not a season. Let's just see how we handle the pressure in these next 7 games now. If we do well, we're looking really good for fourth, but Arsenal, City and Chelsea will have enough to finish above us.
